Bought this last year and it is just awesome. Gonna get the Dual Mod Workstation too that they released recently (only last week I think). Siamese twin workstations, they belong together. DemonFX is my most fav pedal brand by far, don't care what the 'boutique snobs' say. My 2 cents: Even if it looks close to the one it's based on, I think that's more of an ethical thing, people do things for money that are a lot worse, and if there really was something illegal going on here, it would have been stopped by now =) lol. Some people just can't afford to spend 300 quid or more on a pedal, they will never buy boutique brands, no matter how gorgeous they sound, plus the pedal this is based on is out of production, if I'm not mistaken, so nothing is lost there. Ps: algorithm gods hahaha good one.

I'm completely on board when the pedal is out of production and I completely agree that it isn't easy to justify a 300quid pedal even if there weren't these budget options available. Sounds great too didn't it 👍

@@BudgetPedalChap Definitely sounds great, the demo, and that line too haha! I'm seriously thinking about slimming down my large board and just have the usual and obligatory stuff like tuner, gate and wah etc, some drive pedals to push my amp gain for flavors, and the 2 DemonFX workstations, nothing else. That's just about all a guitarist needs hahahah!

@@affordaboard Hiya, do you have the Dual Mod already? I received mine last weekend but had to return it. There was an audible hum and also swishing phaser noises on MOD B, not so much a problem when playing at hi gain but it becomes a problem when playing clean parts. I hated to send it back because the pedal is awesome otherwise, but the unwanted background noises were too annoying for me. So I was wondering if you encounter the same problem, if not I probably received a bad module. Thnks in advance for the reply!

Great video as always. Would have been good to see the reverb and delay on together and how thats controlled. Also, what does the exp pedal control?

Aye, it was getting to be quite a massive video so I had to only show a little verb and delay together. The exp controls the decay on the reverb setting 👍

@@BudgetPedalChap I don't have an expression pedal anymore so I can't try this, but the last 2 settings on the reverb 'channel' are delay, would make sense if one could control delay time with an expression pedal as well. I'm thinking of getting a new one, just for this here pedal and its Mod twin 😁

How does the Tap input work? Can you link it to other pedals in this series and it synks the tap across all the pedals?

I'm really sorry, I didn't try that feature and I only get them on loan to demo. Might be worth looking at the manual in their site, they are not the best translations sometimes but it might be able to shed some more light on it.

That's the issue sometimes with the Chinese pedals, the quality control isn't as strict. I am glad that you could return it though 👍

The first reverb mode has the drip control added to the morph control. It gets a fair bit drippy when you push it 👍

@@affordaboard could’ve been. I think they only have two and obviously the reverb/delay is one, but I just don’t remember what they were calling it without looking. But I am curious about it and considering checking it out since dfx has been very consistent and solid at what they do. Haven’t had an issue with any of their stuff yet and it’s all done the thing it’s supposed. All 100%, well no but is it ever anything a normal person would notice the difference absolutely not. Plus if you’re using a few things at once it might not be noticeable at that point anyway. People are weird about gear. The difference between a $300, 3k & 30k guitar is ruffly paying 10x’s as much for something that only plays/sounds 10% better. That’s really quite a bit of diminishing returns at that price point. Then if you factor in proper setup and up grades, there are very cheap guitars that play and sound better than very expensive ones. But if it’s a pedal? Well $500 for this or $50 for 90-97% the same? I don’t run a studio. If I really love or need something I might get it of course but I can through in an eq pedal or something and probably make up the difference.
