Playing short notes/ blues licks wwith a modulated delay doesnt do this pedal justice, this is meant for ringing chords and picking patterns using ope, using drone notes etc... you missed the point with the fuzz factory 7 doing the same thing rather than going for queens of the stone age power chords, drop D stuff, or muse like riffs etc .... Certain pedals require certain styles to be effective, and this pedal combined with delays or shimmer reverb etc is amazing...its an ambient tool/texture device

I'm mostly a blues player and while I love using this pedal for the sounds it gets, it's not really much use for the type of stuff I do. *If you're looking for creating soundscapes though, this pedal is incredible* There are videos on KZfaq demonstrating its capabilities better than this.

I can only do what I can do. I'm glad there are other demos out there demonstrating it in different styles. I think the points raised about having a dedicated mix knob are still valid, it'd make it more useful in more contexts.

Funny, as soon as you shared up the modes image I thought “hmmm those are odd control choices”. Some of those modes have some real potential. The Kraken could be great if you spent some time with it.

Ive never played a verb pedal. Ive only ever used the tank in my amps. I do have a Shaky Jimi (which by the way was the 1st pedal I bought because of your demo specifically way back) that accompanied with an Echoos delay can do similar things to this pedal. I don't think this one was bad but I'll generally agree with the consesus that this one isn't for me.

The shaky Jimi, what a pedal! I bet you get loads of control over the signal with that combination, where I think that's the issue with this is. If it had a dedicated mix control then most of these settings would be usable

I'm guessing this is reasonably priced, for which I would take a few redundant modes. I suppose the crazy vibrato modes might sound okay if you're using it on simple, sustained chords. Have you tried it on bass?

It's very reasonably priced for sure. I've not tried it on bass. I think having no mix control would make it difficult to use on bass. It's very close to being great, but it's not quite there yet

I've almost bought this many times but always held back, the idea of these modulations sounds cool but i've never heard a review that makes it actually sound good. So sad because it was a huge swing and a miss in my opinion. I want companies like caline making strange, weird pedals, so I hope they keep doing down this path, but just this one was not the one lol.

I think with a bit of refining, this could be great. As it stands, it's just a bit too whacky and lacks the real control you need to make it work well. I hope they keep to it too, they are doing good work

Not footswitchable, but there is a video that I've recorded coming up that has a pedal that does muff and tone bender modes 👍

Bunch of these hard to listen to modes would be much cooler if the effects only affected the Reverb

I think they do, but you can't adjust the mix. It's very saturated and so it takes over the sound a bit too much

Ffs this is the first time I have ever felt nauseous from sound. I'm not joking. Right when you called it sickly I noticed. This one is far from perfect but could totally have a place in a lot of applications.

Ooh dayum, I had a tremolo that made my friend feel sick on one of these demos. First time a reverb has done it. It's a crazy sound for sure but it does a thing

Hear me out, I hate how this'n sounds with my guitars and bass BUT I love how I sound syncing this up with my bass clarinet through a microphone. That sounds like a dark god on the ocean floor waking up confused and seething with rage and I love it.

That's a fantastic description! Yeah, the sound in it aren't bad, they just lack the control to make them useful for most. Who knew Caline were going for the bass clarinet market all along? 🤣

problem here is your amp is out shining your pedal i hear the amps sound more then pedal i don't use an amp when making video i just use a pedal plugged into sound interface get the full sound of pedal as a pedal will sound different on each amp as your amp will add a tone on top of the tone this is why people have mixed reviews after buying a pedal it sounds good till you put it in your setup

Yeah, completely agree. There are a few really useable tones in there, but you have to search for them
