Hey Jason, you were talking about using the goats to control that Japanese vine. Natchez trace state park here in Tennessee just recently used a herd of goats to clean out the kudzu that was taking over. It seems that it was very successful and they plan on using more goats in the future to control invasive species.❤

Jason, about the concept to work smarter and not harder! I know you both want to get the fencing done around the pond for the geese and ducks, but how about waiting till fall when it is way cooler to put it up? Because after emptying out the paddocks that you have the cows, pigs, and goats in right now over to the barn paddocks, then that area is going to give you all a lot of extra space to even dig a smaller pond for the ducks over their, then you won't have to worry about rounding them all up at night, walking up the steep incline, crossing over your driveway to get them back to their paddock area and you won't have to fill up pools anymore, cause you could have Gregg dig then a small pond to swim in! That fencing that you want to put around the top of the dam, around the pond, is probably going to be harder, rockier clay soil to drive them t-post down into, like the trouble you had with some of them t-post earlier! That way that will give you time to either work on that in the future, but will also allow for you getting some seeded vegetation or grasses growing up on the sidewall inclines of your dam around that pond! I personally feel like that bigger pond is going to be fuller, clearer and beautiful one day and you would be more apt to go swimming in a clean pond, that doesn't have ducks pooping in it all the time, and stirring the bottom up by always getting in and out of the pond all day long, everyday of the week! It's your decision, just trying to look out for ya and give ya some advice to help! God bless all of your hard work! Ya'll are a bunch of hard working troopers, that's for sure!

I agree with holding off the pond area. Finish the Barn area and get that going. Then they can fence around pond when it is Cooler although I know Jason going have Gardening to do. Nugget going have a Great area close to Barn and the Goats going have a Great area and the Cows WOW.. And Boys going have a Great area Pond can wait since they leaving Loretta & Gus kind of where they are but out of the Pigeon area.. Yup Good idea!!

Jason - rest those shoulders so you don’t injure yourself. A day or two or some shorter days might save you from an injury due to repetitive use. The woodland looks amazing - so beautiful. Brooke was in her happy place cleaning up the area. The animals would love the shade. Moody & Mildred would keep some of it down, but not as well as the goats - but they would love the shade. Definitely don’t need to give them the entire area. Perhaps give the Moody & Mildred just a small area into the woods…. just a resting spot.

Wow Brooke!!! What a difference! You have created a goats paradise under all that tree canopy with all the wild shrubs to forage on! They will be so happy! I'm glad Peaches is going to give y'all a day off! What a hard job, but it will make such a huge impact on the babies!

Great job on clearing that area Brooke! It always looks better when cleaned up! If you keep a cooler in your side by side keep the cool towels around your neck and take breaks, get the towel wet with cold water and hold it on your wrist. This helps cool your body temp. This heat is serious stuff. ❤

Good morning Cog Hill and all of the Cog Squad. Give them some in the front pasture and then make a pasture in the woods for the goats for the summertime. Y’all be good.

I'm always so happy when I see you have posted a video. They are so enjoyable to watch, and I love seeing your farm being transformed. The animals will be thrilled! When you get to the cow pasture, please include a good area of trees. If you need to cut down a tree to get a straight shot, do it! As you said, they are too crowded anyway. You and Brooke (and Mary Carl) are such lovely people. Your home is wonderful! Thank you for sharing! By the way, my uncle had an area of trees in his cow pasture, and the cows kept the lower branches clear. He called it the cow living room because all the cows went in there and laid down beside each other, lol.

I'm so glad you decided to bush hog that forest area for the goats. Now they will have all that forge that they will be able to eat, they will love it. That should save a little on the hay bill also. Nice job you two are doing. Love your videos.

Wow your both an inspiration this is no easy task and in the heat as well your both doing awesome. So glad you’ve decided to hire for another week to take the pressure off a bit. Need to rest and recharge hate to see you both go down with heat exhaustion or something. The animals are going to love their new pasture. Have a relaxing weekend take some time off just a little to recharge. Take care God Bless. 💕🙏
