A fantastic movie! So tense and creepy. I was just about to write about it. I think the Mrs. will really like it... OR WILL SHE? :D The Spaniards have a great spam horror movies some years ago. I remember really enjoying the first La Herencia Valdemar as well.

She is "ok" because she wasnt bitten, so she didnt become a "servant" but a vesel. See Rec4 for more info on this Rec 3 is a zombie movie 100%, but it doesnt follows the story of Rec 1-2 (same world, different protagonists). Rec 4 wraps things, again with the claustrhopobic feeling of the first two ones, and continues the story of our favourite journalist

I'm so happy that you guys are reacting to these movies, REC is my favourite horror movie and my favourite cinema experience ever! REC2 is amazing too although the kids got me on my nerves a bit too much. REC3 is actually my second favourite, which is an unpopular opinion but has one of my favourite movie scenes. REC4... eh. Fun fact: Pablo Rosso, the cinematographer of the whole saga, who played Pablo (Ángela's cameraman) also plays Rosso (last SWAT member) in this one.

I can't remember the 2nd [°REC] that much, only saw it once, and probably because the original [°REC] had an huge impact on me (which I saw twice, got them both btw on dvd). The 3rd I also love (saw it at least 3 times, and got it on Blu-ray), it is a great wrap up story, and it is actually also very funny, but I loved it especially because of the cinematic twist! Didn't care much of the 4th movie. Greetings from The Netherlands.

I remember there being a comic book that explained the story of Medeiros and the Father that was investigating her, And also showed what happened to the teens after this movie ended and what happened to the dog of the little girl while setting up the 3rd movie

I love the rec3:genesis and it is almost a stand alone even if you see the news about the building being quarantine in some TV in the background. You can watch it without watching the first 2 and still is enjoyable.

Me and my mates binged all the rec movies one afternoon and the first two blew us away being the best of the found footage schlop we watched. When we reached to 3, it felt like a slap in the face, the first half of the film. But we were already like 5 beers in and by the end of it we were a giggling mess. solid 6/10 as a zombie comedy. One of my mates actually made the comparison to zombieland and the experience got better from there. 4 was the most forgettable but nonetheless an ending to a good franchise.

I really like REC 2 and I defend the movie. You could argue that it's more of the same and unnecessary, but I think the movie is very well done and has great suspenseful scenes, so I'm already happy. I also really like sequels that start immediately where the first movie ended and that are interested in rescuing characters from the first movie, even in cameos. I think that with the exception of the annoying teenagers who come out of nowhere in the middle of the plot, I like everything else in the movie. I don't think Rec 3 and Rec 4 are bad, but they're definitely not memorable either.

Yeah for me this movie was totally amazing and necessary, I would end the series with this movie. I would skip rec 3 to be honest and rec 4 was decent but it's not found footage so it's not as scary

I mean aren't all sequels unnecessary? I think this is one of those that justify itself by adding more to the story and carrying the same suspense and horror as the first one. Though the teens are the worst part

I like this demon zombie idea because it seems like they are susceptible to Castlevania weapons. Holy water and holy cross would rec them.

I love Grave Encounters, even though it's a low budget movie, but it's very entertaining in my opinion. Grave Encounters 2 sucks.

If you want a rewatchable "palette cleanser" flick I suggest "I'll Be Seeing You" (1944). Holiday movie but not so much so that you need to save it for Christmas. Interesting wartime-back-at-home story about a couple of social stigmas: PTSD and doing prison time.

@@chrisxdeathxinfiniti Yeah, I'm sorry but no zombie horror movie in the history of zombie horror movie has every managed to make me ball my eyes out by the end of it, and I NEVER crying watching movies. That's a testament to how great and relatable the characters were and how stellar the acting was. In an era where zombie media is incredibly oversaturated and mostly "meh...", getting that sort of reaction out of me really puts it out there as one of the absolute best.

REC 2 is absolutely fantastic, as the 1st one. REC 3 is a fresh detour into dark comedy (and a prequel) wich double dips in the satyrical elements of catalonian/spanish society that the first one tipped. REC 4 could be a more The Relic variant or something like that, and is the less interesting of the bunch, but actually holds pretty well, but the ending is somewhat disappointing (unlike the other 3 entries, which have memorable endings - for one reason or another).

You guys should look into more Italian horror. Giallos are fun murder-mystery movies, the Giallos of the 60s and 70s had an effect on Slasher films of the 80s. They are sort of like proto-slashers. Deep Red, Blood and Black Lace, Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Cat-O'-Nine-Tails, and many more.

Talk about a brilliant ad cutting in as one of the guys was getting savaged got an ad break opening with the line "Life can get messy sometimes" . It was an ad for Dettol a British antiseptic cleanser "kills 98% of household germs" don't know if it works on infectious demonic possession tho.

The reason why the Girl and thr room who she was in there was imvisible and Angela was not imvisible is that the girl was already dead and was made invisible again by the priest who lives in the attic with the help of the prayers and his experiments he did there. He performed so many exorcisms on her that at some point the demon became invisible. He also make the Room invisible Angela's demon was visible because she wasn't exorcised by any priests He also makes the room invisible to prevent the girl from ever being able to get outside into the apartment, but at some point the dog of the girl from the first part got lost in the apartment and was infected by the girl there because it was probably dark at the time was. And then eventually the dog made it back out to infect the girl and others

Good fact The policeman rosso is played by actor pablo rosso who also the cameraman pablo from the 1st movie & was having trouble following the police because he kept following angela (which is what he was doing in the 1st movie)

The 3rd one is great, but it's a huge twist from the first 2, i can't recall if they are connected to the REC 1 & 2 universe, but they are really fun to watch anyways, REC 4 i haven't watched but all i heard is that it isn't that great but it's like the ''ending'' of the saga, they probably won't do REC 5 tho, REC 4 was made in 2014, and it's been 8 long years, enough time for them to release it and there haven't been any news or updates on it, so i'll take REC 4 as the last one

4 is the last one, they confirmed it years ago when it came out 3 it's a prequel but it takes place pretty much at the same time as 1 and 2 (When the outbreak starts, a news report of the SWAT team of Rec 2 is shown on a TV)

I wasn't a fan of 3 and 4 , they felt like straight to dvd movies. I love the first movie just a bit more than 2, I think 2 does a good job at expanding but the priest annoyed me a little.

3 was pretty goofy and irrelevant to the story but I kinda like 4. To be fair, I was crushing on Manuela Velasco pretty hard at the time of watching so maybe that blinded me :D
