Well done! We came from Halifax and settled just north of Moncton, and we are super pleased with NB. So much more bang for our $! Good to see others who are open to life in NB. 👍

I am from Saint John (born there, grew up and moved away in my early twenties because of my job). I have longed to see Saint John restored to it's former glory... as has been going on these past years. Delighted to see a new generation moving in to re-energize the area I love so much. Hopefully if all goes well I would like to move back "home" to enjoy the ocean, the people loving Saint John and find peace & joy in my later years. It is exciting to see it all evolving! Bless you & enjoy your new home! ❤️😊

Nice to see Saint John is experiencing a renaissance of sorts. Such a strange old city. In French there’s a term, "beau laid" which roughly translates as a beautiful ugly person (someone who is beautiful on the inside). I think this describes Saint John quite well.

Such a great video! Seems very similar to our story on why we want to move. Hi Dylan, we haven’t met too many yet, but it’s not for lack of having people to meet. It’s just been a busy transition and we’re still working on getting into the community with COVID and things, but we believe we will meet other young people/couples with warmer weather and lack of restrictions!

We used Ryan Loughead Trucking, they were reasonably priced. They arrange a shipping container to be delivered to your home and drive it directly (within about 2 days) to your destination. They were great to work with and I’d recommend them. You have to do all the work, and we had a 2 bed apartment so I’m not sure what you’re moving. It’s worth contacting them and discussing your needs if you’re serious about the move!

@@oshawarunnerxc25 Hi Ethan, I saw your video on the “We Love Saint John” KZfaq channel and I commented as “Michael T” on that video about finding a reputable moving company for moving from Hamilton, ON to New Brunswick (not sure which city yet). How are you liking living in Saint John so far since your move? I saw in a later comment that you used Ryan Loughead Trucking shipping containers to move about 2 bedrooms worth of furniture. Would you be able to share the contact name of the person you dealt with at that company and the approximate cost of the services for your move? I find there are so many scammers for moving out of province that it is scary. Thank you very much! Mike

Hello Wendy and Les (hope I got the names correct), I did watch the entire video but I don’t recall this couple describing how they moved their belongings to their new place from Ontario. I would like to move more than just a carload and the number of options for moving out of province is a bit confusing and subject to fraud on the part of the movers based not only on my own experiences where a mover holds your belongings on their truck while they inform you at your destination that the “estimate” has been adjusted (always upwards of course) but also on some scary reviews from people who have moved out of province! I am old school and always like to negotiate these activities in person at a bricks and mortar place of business where possible as some “on-line” businesses can be very fraudulent. I did apply online for some quotes and eventually had to place email blocks on at least one company as the salesman pestered me daily. Can you provide any advice on different methods of moving out of province and the names of any “reliable, trustworthy” firms that can carry out the move based on a flat rate or hourly rate? I have used transport trucks from moving companies in the past but it has always been for short moves of say 40 km or less and I have successfully rented and driven U-Haul vans (26 footer) for short distance moves. I also see a variety of “steel box rectangular shipping containers” but I can’t seem to find reliable companies that aren’t hiding on-line with no physical “bricks and mortar” place of business that will move your container out of province. Perhaps you can do a detailed video on a safe moving process for those of us that do want to bring our household belongings? Thank you so much for your videos! Mike

Hi Michael. The couple in this video used one of the shipping container companies to move their belongings. I'll try to find the name of the company and if I do, I'll add it to this comment. Wendy and I do not endorse any company that we haven't personally used so I can't provide any recommendations. When I research businesses I look at their Google reviews very closely. I look for any consistent issues and I look for reviewers that have posted a lot more than one review. This process takes time but it has always served me well.
