4 жыл бұрынThis was my very first class that I have ever taught out of the country. I have to admit, I was extremely nervous. It's something that is still very new to me and being vulnerable in an environment such as this is a challenging new experience. I'm so honored to have been able to teach alongside so many talented, inspiring, unique individuals. Thank you Shake It Santo Domingo for welcoming me with open arms and an open mind to trying something new. Thank you to everyone who is supporting me on my journey of finding who I am as an artist. And thank you to dance and my body for allowing me to find my voice with movement and inspire others around me♥️
This piece was about how we are scared of facing reality. We bottle our emotions inside of us, but once it's time to face reality and when we reach that "breaking point" everything just explodes out of us and we don't know how to control it. And so, sometimes we just go crazy and feel out of control.
When you blind yourself from the world and create a "safe place" in your mind, you become comfortable with the feeling of being safe. Learn to be curious of the unknown and look at your fears face to face with courage, confidence, and control.

Everyone deserves the best out of everything, even if it wasn’t Kaycee, for any other choreographer, the cameraman should’ve tried his best. Everyone is equal tf

It’s quite possible that the emotional element is the spirit and breath that animates the body outside of conscious control. She is the master of creating subtext so hauntingly heartbreaking and so intricately woven that it seamlessly fuses music, movement and emotions. Emotional vulnerability never looked so powerful.

This is the reason I started dancing! There is nothing more beautiful than when Kaycee gives herself over to the music. Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself that dance is about feeling not just a step. You have to just forget about doing the perfect steps, stop thinking and just dance. I can never get tired from rewatching this and coming back and rewatching it I would never feel these same feelings listening only to the song (all the respect to the song and the singer bcz the song itself is amazing and it gives goosebumps but Kaycee's choreography gave it another level of that) that's how powerful and sentimental her choreography is and the emotions she shows just wow

You're right Kaycee! It's time to stop hiding our emotions and be bold for once. I told my crush how I felt about him for three years. His middle name is my last name, and his birthday is the day after mine. We played volleyball for 5 hours most of the week freshman year of college, and now he won't even talk to me. I told him how I've been feeling and he said, "Oh okay".
