This is the why, reason, catalyst, I launched the Wiggles Project and how I turned a traumatic experience into something positive! Young Onset Parkinson's disease (YOPD) meet Casino Security. In this video I tell the story of the first time that my YOPD met Casino Security, and how I was asked to leave. Never before had I had an issue with casino security or security of any kind, anywhere or at anytime, because of YOPD. I've played in the WSOP in 2018 and 2019 with YOPD! I've played World Poker tour circuit events at the Aria, cash games at the Bellagio, and have played them all with YOPD, and at times with dyskinesia. But on this day, at my favorite local casino a security guard who had absolutely no reason to approach me, as I looked through my purse for a lighter, but he did, and it didn't go well. This is the story behind the inspiration of the Wiggles project....and how to make the make most of a terrible situation.
Dyskinesia from Parkinson's medications and having Parkinson's is already no fun and to find yourself in a public situation like this, makes this painful reality, all the more painful. No one should be treated in this way, it shouldn't happen. This situation was totally avoidable and never should of happened, but it did. In hopes to get the word out about Young Onset Parkinson's disease, and a symptom or side effect of the medications used to treat it, I made this video, sharing my terrible casino experience.
What also sucked was that this casino security guard also killed a poker winning streak. I haven't won a single cash game session since!! I haven't played a lot, am not superstitious, but....poker players know what I am saying.
