So interesting! I somehow had never noticed that the shirt of Wille's which Simon keeps smelling is the one Wille wore when he first came to Hillerska, and this little piece of information really made me appreciate those scenes even more. Thanks for this! Also, season 3, please 🙏💜

This is so fascinating. I love behind the scenes talks with professionals who make the world come alive. It's really cool how they use clothing to impart messages about the characters. My favorite costumes/clothing items are Felice's Lucia dress, Wilhelm's orange/red sweater, and my ultimate favorite is Simon's purple hoodie. I'm in my early 30s and my "safety blanket" clothing item of choice has been a hoodie, most often purple, since I was very little so I connected a lot to that particular item. The costuming in this show is really really good.

I LOVED THIS!!! It is so great to Iearn about what's involved in the creation of the fantastic show - SO MUCH THOUGHT is put into everything, and it is so effective. The orange sweater when Wilhelm arrives at Hillerska being what he leaves behind when he ALMOST is taken away from the school?? Such a clever, insightful detail. This team is filled with the finest of storytellers.

I love the beauty mark near the eye for Wilhelm at the ball-passion and all of that. Were any characters dressed as a specific historic figures? All of the jackets are great! I thought those showed the class differences more than anything. It is nice to see them rewear their favorite comfortable things and hang out in flannel pants. That feels real for teen boys.

ok I have to ask. In S2 E5 right before the book presentation, Wille is wearing a green polo and a camel sports jacket . He suddenly feels sick and walks back to his room (to throw up) and he is suddenly not wearing the green polo anymore but the iconic soft gray sweater! The costuming in this show is so FLAWLESS this seems like such a random continuity error. Are we missing something??? Also this end up being the identical outfit he wears the day before when discussing KRIS with Simon...was this all supposed to be the same day then?

I really love costume design and meaning behind it in young royals, nothing that characters wear is accidental and we can see it BUT I will never forgive Simon's pijama pants, I am sorry. This was just too much.

To me, the clothes on this show seems a bit outdated. Especially for the girls. Like who’s wearing furry vests and chokers in 2022? Royalteen did a much better job showing how rich kids dress nowadays.

@@noyou3594 I live in the UK. Granted, it's not everyday dress, but it's a common site to see kids dressed like that if you go into the city centre on a weekend. I just put that down to the characters being rich though.
