I love how you weren’t going to do this video and then we got a lovely surprise! You have so much!! I really enjoy seeing what you’ve been working on and love the try-ons. The sailor cardigan looked good on you, the tessellated also despite contrast with dress, loved the runnuculous especially the color.

I love all those projects on you but you have a special glow when wearing that union fibre shawl. I was so happy to see you in the alpenglow too because I thought i would love those colours together but havent seen anyone using them. Stunning.

Yes!!!!!!!!! The Alpenglow looks amazing I must have missed your podcast for that one. I learned from Ellen Lewis of CrazyForEwe that if you are over a C cup, you MUST pick a garment using your underarm measurement (NOT full bust) otherwise a lot of times the shoulders are way too big and you swim in it. Standard sizings assume you are a C cup! If you're bigger than a C, use underarm measurement, and add increases lower if you need to.

Wow that is a lot of fabulous knits. I am knitting the Coracle by Ysolda Teague, a really fun knit. You can always make duplicate stitch(es) on the back of a sweater so you can tell the back from the front. Make a heart or something fun. Happy 2024 knitting everyone.

Your knit (and sewn!) projects for 2023 are beautiful and really paints a picture of your style and colours. I absolutely love your taste projects and colours, and you've inspired me to knit my own Alder in colours I wouldn't normally go to, but were drawn from your choices (a tweedy light brown/beige and a deep red). Thank you for sharing your pretties, and I'm looking forward to what you come up with next!

Love your Alpenglow sweater! I have had issues many times with sweaters being too big if I go by bust size, doesn’t help that I am short as well. But now I am trying to use my above bust measurement (plus desired ease) and it really helps! You have made such beautiful sweaters, but in my opinion, most of those looked too big on you….on the other hand, some days nothing will do but a big comfy oversized sweater!

You made so many items this year! Your Alpenglow is actually my favorite, but I'm especially intrigued by the collar - I wear dickey collars fairly frequently, but it never occurred to me that a knit one would be an option :)

I've had yarn for the Alpenglow sweater for awhile and I hope to knit it soon!! I love how yours turned out. I'm a loose knitter so I tend to always make the wrong size in Andrea's patterns (too big) so I think I will try your advice and size down for this one.

Lovely video ! Already so luch knitting for a most knits video ! I love seeing your projects but actually ... it would be nice to see them in better lighting and framing. Some of the knits we could not see the details especially the sailor cardigan I could not see the back collar

Hi, you mention something called 'Surrey' several times. I'm a novice (under 1 year) knitter and don't know what Surrey is (apart from a county! Can you please tell me what it is, is it a brand name? Thanks :)

Yes! I’m talking about Suri Alpaca. Specifically a laceweight blend of Suri alpaca with a silk core. I use this in place of mohair when patterns call for it because I am allergic to mohair. Suri comes in a lot of brands and different weights but mainly in lace weight yarns

Its awesome getting reviews on make ideas and yarn wear discretions, it helps when im buying from home or my lyrs doesn’t have that I want to try. You are a good judge for me because I can’t wear mohair either. ❤😊🧶
