I have had so many injuries from training horses, but none that bad. The worst was a badly broken femur and the time I almost lost the end of my finger. Animals don’t always comply with our wishes. All the best to your dad. I’m now 79, so my training days are over, but I still have three horses to care for.

Hi Kaci, so sorry to hear about your Dad and my heart goes out to him, to you and your family. Very best wishes to him for his recovery. I loved seeing your project plans with all of those beautiful yarns and colors. For my winter plans, I am working to finish knitting my very first Ranunclus with long sleeves, knit in a cone of 100%merino wool from Wooly Knit in the shade of Mungo Brown. My next projects will be the Lunenburg Pullover by Amy Christoffers knit with Rauma Finull, and the Moon Set Pullover by Ozetta, knit with Valley Yarns Peru. Thank you for another lovely podcast.

Hey. Lovely to see all your plans. For me winter knitting is done. I did this during monsoon and in autumn. I will go travel to warmer climates for 2-3month next week. So i plan to knit some tops, as we did not have summer this year. Enjoy your knitting

Prayers for your dad for a speedy recovery. I love all your knitting plans and love this time of year when we plan for the next. At the beginning of 2023 I started note taking in a simple little “ideas” notebook and on one page I tracked wips I wanted to finish this year and projects I wanted to do. Glad to say I’ve crossed almost all of them off. And, I’ve filled that notebook with details of my knitting this year. Now to find a new book for 2024.

So sorry to hear about your da. Mine is a cattleman as well who took a similar flying lesson into a fence (and then hospital) from a Shorthorn steer. The only people in the world more stubborn than a cattleman are their daughters and their dogs, so I'm sure your da is digging in his heels and giving it his all. But first I'd like to finish my dress version of the Ilmatar sweater and sewing a Christmas dress.
