Topic: For the ones that work at-from home. I’m a housewife and have being working in the nail world for a year now (Tijuana 🇲🇽) I have learn a lot from you guys and would love to hear some advice for someone like me. Obviously the price is sooo much lower here 😔 but the expectations and demands of the clients is the same or worse 😂

Your clients are not in control of your pricing… you are!!!!! If you feel you are charging to little then raise prices just make sure to plan and let clients know ahead of time prices are changing to give them time to adjust their budgets for nails as well.

This was soooo informative. I’ve been a nail tech for 30 years. Have not gone up on my prices in 25 years?!?!? I’m definitely adding a 5$ charge to each service… I am worth it and plus my supplies have continued to go up year after year… thanks fir the push!

I started doing nails ..about 2 years ago, got my license Sept 2020. Going on 50 😬 and have had to teach myself everything- thank you Covid! I am SO thankful for your videos- Biz talk, live Twitch streams, etc... Anyway, I booth rent, I am the only nail tech at the Salon and have been struggling to get clients.I don't have another job so right now, everything goes right to my booth rent. However, It has only been 6 months at this location - and I keep hearing Tracey saying - it takes time!- which is helping me keep my sanity. Thank you for this! And for all that you guys do for the Nail Community. I can honestly say - I don't know where I'd be if it hadn't been for your continued advice and wonderful Nail Community ❤

I have to agree! I’m always taking another class or course to improve my skills or add to my service menu. Always learning something new!!! (Recently I learned that it’s really painful to challenge gravity in front of clients!🤣 I lost that challenge, btw.) Whatever you do in salon, you have to do for your future self. Self care, mental health, policy, pricing education… it’s all about future you. Where do you want to be tomorrow?

I just took the synergy gel class yesterday and it was so amazing, I definitely need to up my hard gel products and do these services. It’s better for ME to do hard gel at home where I live with my kids and mother. Wet low odor compared to acrylic until I can get my own place to do nails comfortably

When would you use a fine efile bit on acrylic nails? Ty all for your hard work and great content
@youngnailsinc
@youngnailsinc 2 жыл бұрын
The fine diamond bits work great for prepping the cuticle area of the natural nail. They won't take down bulk from an artificial nail, but they can help smooth the surface.

If you plan on doing nails long term it can really cause damage to your hands. Carpal tunnel is pretty painful and definitely effects your day to day life to a point you may not be able to work at all using your hands.

I’m still training but my fills take longer than my full sets, with how much lifting I’m having to remove. Just did a 5.5 hour fill 😭 and that’s with an efile… what am I doing wrong?? 😫
@kamireyna9417
@kamireyna9417 2 жыл бұрын
It could be your technique…. Young nails has a video on filing away lifting. You want to hit it with a tap tap motion right behind the area that is lifted. Imagine there is a line where the lifting begins and ends….the visible part is the beginning the part still semi attached to the nail plate is where you want to file.
