Synopsis:
Cheng Shao Shang is a young girl who was forced to grow up alone after most of her family had to leave to fight in a bloody war. Thus she becomes stubborn and untrusting. She fends for herself in a town populated by people like her, who have been left behind by the war.
One day, a talented and powerfu general named Ling Bu Yi comes to the town - and falls in love with her at first sight. He resolves to marry her, even though it will cause him no end of problems if he decides to pursue this union. She also warns him that she doesn’t trust him, and that her stubborn personality might not be suitable for the wife of a general. But Ling Bu Yi also has deep secrets, and there are facts about his true identity that even he does not know. Slowly, they begin to trust one another a little more - and start to investigate the truth about Ling Bu Yi’s early childhood, family, and real identity…

I loved this this scene so much..his confusion, her breaking down, even her trying to give an example if someone attack you from behind her voice killed me....

This scene is just heartbreaking, she just went through something horrific and felling depressed. In walks Ling, not knowing what she went through. And sees her with love in his eyes, and starts giving examples of why he finds her endearing. And in her silent pain turns and starts weeping when hearing him, how after hearing him can she explain her pain. So she keeps to herself so she won’t shatter his wonder in her. So she puts on a happy smile and simply asks how to best defend herself if she is ever in a position that he’s not near. And what a breath catching moment when he’s explaining the “Life Gate Acupuncture, deadly when damaged” moment. Especially when he puts his arm on the point, and then grabs her arm and does the same.❤️🔥 And what a beautiful scene we get, it’s simply breathtaking.💞

This is a great set of scenes.. from crying to comforting to self defense class that turns to romance.. but for some reason it all connected and super sweet.. also made me blush..

This beautiful young lady is crying out 15 years of neglect and abuse and the only one who was there for her was her maid and now the general. You can feel the pain of her release yes she went through a very frightening experience at the hands of some disgusting specimens of the female kind. I am angry at her father who constantly takes his wife's side even witnessing the abuse but always finding an escape so he doesn't have to face what he and his wife did whether it was engineered by the wicked aunt it does not explain 15 years of absence. The reason this young lady has collected her admirers is through her been all aspects of what a woman should be. Her baby voice is the kind you smile at because it is so cute but behind that smile is a woman with a back bone of steel. Her general along side her majesty are the only two who understand her.

This is so different from America tv where couples are always almost naked if there is a romantic scene and everything is so sexualized. You don't have to show much and yet you can still see the passion here. Love it!

Yeah they keep it behind the doors too much. We get to hear character's thoughts but when it comes to intimacy, it's a no no. I don't them to show me the whole thing but they don't have to evade it like it's a big secret pandora that cannot be opened. It's ok in works that are not based on romance or are period (I would understand that it's reflection of how intimacy and sex was seen at that time) but in modern romance dramas, it's like nobody thought of sex, are made of pure soul, no wicked thoughts, nobody talks about it. Even I would sometimes search up things related to sex that come randomly into my mind. Dramas and movies are supposed to be a reflection of world. It might not be appropriate everywhere but you can add it to some places

I think Leo wu set his eyes on zhao lusi when their filming the “ The Long Ballad” then here comes the “ Love like the galaxy” they paired and fell in love..now they’re married just like Hyu Bin and son yi jin..they paired in “ The negotiation “ after that they paired in “ crash landing on you” they fell in love and got married…..love their stories ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰

I think it he was more surprised by the extent of what they did to her. He probably truly didn't think anyone would to that harm to her because she had the Empress back and who he was.

Sure, he hadn't imagined snakes, but "what if somebody pushes you from behind" after she melted in tears in his arms... The same girl who shed no tears when she was almost crossed with a spear by bandits in a hunting hut a couple of months and then proceeded to extract a dart from his flesh without flinching. Man, how self-centered of him to take his frustration out on her. He could have figured it out for himself, if he's so special.

I think it has more to do with her not telling him about it rather than the act itself. He had to hear about it from everyone else. Even after he asked her about it several times. I guess he felt like she didn't trust him enough to protect her. But that's just what I got out of it. I could also be completely wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

@@janwahcaban2022 "she didn't trust him enough to protect her" is probably true, but it shouldn't be considered a fault of hers if she doesn't. Sure, trust requires the person to be willing to trust, so she does need to work on herself to be able to trust him, but it's not something you owe other people. Much less something you should give other people from one day to the other. And it's extremely hypocritical of him to demand that kind of trust, when he himself didn't tell her sh*t about his own stuff, and let me remind you that in the end she had to save his ass from all of it.
