This is spot on, especially for direct injected motors! Had one on my F150 and filled up a 16oz bottle of sludge in under a year. Definitely doing this to my brand new Trail Boss!!!

I put this same can on my 6.2l TB a couple months ago. Pretty amazing the amount of moisture it catches.

I have the same one on my 18, it fill's pretty fast. Just ordered the extender for it. I love it.

I have a separator on my 2015 6.2l sierra and have to empty it every 2 or 3 tanks of gas. it has about 3 or 4 oz of cloudy oil gunk. I consider it a Must have.

Just installed the JLT 3.0 on my 5.3 Sierra after 1700 miles. Can't wait to see how it looks at 3K.

I would tint the front windows and add a s&b cold air intake .

I have the same catch can on my '18 Silverado - 5.3. over the winter I had to empty the can every 1k miles because of condensation filling the can. I even have the extended tube. I would recommend checking it at different intervals because if its full, its not removing the junk.

I live my JTL can. I put mine on my 18 5.3 Sierra after i drove the first 3k miles. Im at almost 22k now and i have collected enough oil to fill up one of those medium sized coffee tins.

This makes two things I've ordered for my 2019 Silverado LTZ 6.2 from your vids, the shorty antenna and this. I have the GM Performance cold air intake on order. I've already installed a new AFE muffler and gotten rid of the Titanic stock muffler and flappers.

I had a JLT on my Silverado and it caught some oil. I switched to the UPR single valve can and holy crap it catches so much more. Not to mention the UPR can holds more oil and has a much better filtration system & looks nicer overall.

So excited for this build brother

Nice video. You should a cold air intake, long tube headers and a full custom bolt on exhaust with a tuner of some sort.

That’s a good mod for the newer gm engines seeing there direct injected so the gas can’t wash out the intake ports anymore like the older gm trucks up until 2014. That will prevent the build up in the intake ports like we all know is going to happen eventually to all the newer gm engines.

Funny this got posted today. Just insatelld this on my sileraydo. Im thinking for CAI I will do the rotofab one. Looks better than the K&N.

You may want to look at your emissions laws before you install this mod. In states where they have smog testing, your vehicle may fail inspection. Particularly in California, this is not CARB certified and JLT will not even ship to a state with these laws.

Wouldn’t you need two? One for the passenger side and one for the driver? If you just got one then you would only be filtering one side wouldn’t you need to filter both sides? Just asking cause I would like to do this to my truck can someone help me out?

I got this on my LT 2019 Silverado. It does catch a bit of gunk but my mpg suffers greatly in the city with it.

Hmmm I wonder if this could be cause why my lifters keep getting stuck in my 2022 trail boss and takes forever to shift from 2nd to 3rd and when it does it’s slams, or I’m stuck at the lights when it turns green with a revving engine no movement and have to call a tow truck , I’ve already got them replaced and it’s happening again, my last truck 2014 chev1500 I had to replace the transmission after 140,000 cause the Torque converter shattered so they say 8000$ later, then 6k km later the diff blows, now I’m stuck with two trucks not working one brand new. I truly think these trucks are just test trucks to get ideas for their later builds, nothing but issues with them dealership isn’t helping

I don't recommend installing an oil catch can. I had a 2015 silverado 5.3 and I had afm issues right after installing one. I had a collapsed lifter, $2200 repair. I can't wait for the new 5.3 to come out that doesn't have the afm. Just run Pennzoil ultra platinum and your engine will be clean.

very nice. agreed, need that CAI next. i know you went with S&B on the last one, would you mind breaking down what led you to the choice when you get to the CAI video? have a cheaper air raid tube + filter on my 2013, and looking at S&B or cold air inductions on my next truck but both look good so having a hard time deciding. thanks!

How long has it been since you installed it and have you noticed any thing different after instal?

One of the things about these oil catch cans... LoneStar Hawaiian did this and reports two separate return hoses that make a loud whistling sound because the stock hoses are insulated while the JLT and other brand cans' hoses are not. The air flying back into the engine is whistling on by, and it's really loud. What is your take after having installed this over a year ago? Are you hearing any noise? I think enough issues with the sound and maybe the manufacturers of these catch cans may begin insulating these hoses to more heavily dampen the noise.

New subscriber, love the content.I noticed your oil cap says 0w-20 recommended by dealer. I have a 2019 GMC sierra hd 2500 6.0 litre V8.When I purchased my vehicle brand new it had the same oil cap 0w 20 , I took into the GMC dealer for it's first oil change and they had changed my cap to 5w 30 so that's what I run now in my engine. What do u think on that? Thank you. Keep the videos coming.

I heard these make quite the whistling noise, supposedly why the original GM hose has thick insulation on it. I wonder if you experienced the same...?

J l t has nice products but I ended up going with upr dual valve catch can better quality from my experience also made in the us pulls from dirty and clean side at 48;000 miles had my dealer check valves said they looked brand new he also believes they should be on from factory 😷

You should flush out all of that orange coolant and replace with either green or red. Orange will cause nightmares.
