Waterproofing is easily upgradable... i use a rain coat over my master when caught in the rainhas saved me a couple times this season... as well i put a thin coat of marine grease over my bearings every 1k or so to help prevent water ingress.

@WheelGoodTime Definitely a must have for group rides, some of our local crew use really loud siren type wrist alarms (one guy has a megaphone 📣 😅) but I prefer my simple bell. Still clearly audible without freaking people out.

I use a horn, I sound like a clown, but people hear me well and react. Others in our group have electric horns, but they either frighten the sh*t out of people or they get ignored because they think it's something happening on the road. Another guy had a bell for a while, but nobody heard it, and he sounded like Tinkbell was approaching. 😆

I would like a better solution than a mirror for looking behind. They add too much bulk to a helmet and they don’t look good at all. I’m thinking a small rear mounted camera with a small HUD in the helmet

V12 users out there. You can fix the rear lights. Remove the body panels until you can get the rear panel out. Get a 20 cm piece of tape and draw X marks evenly in the middle every 2 cm. Place tape on the part of the rear panel that the light shines through, with X marks as close to centered as possible. Put the rear panel face-up on a scrap piece of wood or other suitable scrap that may get drill holes. Drill "guide" holes with a power drill and 1-2 mm bits through the center of the X's. Remove the tape. Drill increasingly larger holes with larger mm bits using the holes as guides. I went with nine 9 mm holes per side in the end. Sand the edges of the holes smooth. Cut pieces of "clear adhesive film / car protection film" (about $10 on cheap e-markets) to a perfect fit and cover all the holes to prevent water ingress. Re-assemble. Voila - you got gorgeous rear lights. While you're at it get a roll of "carbon fiber protection film" ($10) and cut a perfect piece to cover the top half of the two upper front lights to prevent blinding oncoming traffic with low beam.

Tire upgrade or (proper tire order before shipping) may be important for new riders not aware of train-tracking issues .... and gloves, so you don't end up with hamburger hands in the event of a serious crash ... lol. Great video btw. Thanks!

Not essential, but appart from a helmet mirror, I also use a radar. It beeps and it informs you via an app when vehicles are approaching from behind, how many are coming and if they're approaching very fast or not. It also flashes faster at vehicles when they are approaching and apart from that it's also a backlight. 🤷🏼♂️

Dayum didnt even think that the speakers on the V12 was such a premium feature. The two speed warning levels that you can adjust to whatever you want is really useful. Beeps on 40 and 45 km/h for me. Although now that I think about it I might turn them off for a while to enjoy the freedom.

Rear Tail Brake light. The rear lights on EUC sucks. I been using Magic Shine Smart Rear Brake light. It's super bright and has two lights, one down that is 360 and one facing rear...It looks like a 10 foot red ring around you. I velcro it to my helmet. May buy another to put on the EUC rear too

Brilliant! I just ordered one. What do you think about ability to mount it on my camelback day pack or larger fanny-pack? That way I can easily switch to mtn biking or even supermoto riding. Any thoughts?

Seat height Adjustment extension. The seats on many of these wheel are too small, even for someone 5'11. There should be minimum 22-24 inches from pedal to seat to sit down

@@captnhuffy I got as my first wheel recently and it's east to learn on and super fun to ride. But it is pretty slow (was cruising at top speed within a week) and the smaller diameter and no suspension makes it kinda exhausting to ride. Perfect secondary wheel since it's small and light. But I've ordered a Lynx now as my new primary wheel. So I'd say its a perfect learner wheel if you are okay with getting another one when you have learned to ride and keeping it as a secondary. You could also try to find one used for a lower price. But if you plan to have it a a long term primary wheel, maybe get something a little faster. You happen to live in Sweden?

@@kalle5548 Thanks. Exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for! .. That Lynx looks like the bomb, and perhaps should be my third wheel, and your model my second?? I dunno. I don’t wanna over step my skills.. but maybe that’s a weak & pansy strategy. Shrugs. .. while my heritage is 3/4 Swedish , I’m American, West coast.. some times I RV as far north as western Canada then & down into Mexico. Coastal is best, but sometimes Colorado. A wheel or two should be easier to transport than my other choice of toys. It becomes a big deal to have more than one bicycle, worse still to have more than one motorcycle. Protection from elements is a big deal as I don’t see myself storing them inside my tiny tiny rig.

@@captnhuffy This is a banger first wheel, I learned in ca 3h of practice, my GF in 2h, one of my friends in about 2h and another friend just got on first try and rode around, so it's definitely not "overstepping". Perfect for shorter trips instead of a bike. I'd say it's great first euc that you can bang up without worry, have ridden in several cm of snow, rain and so on, and no problems yet, only problem I've heard from other people it that the salt rusts the main bearing after a year or two so it makes a noise (if ridden in snow). But as a second euc you should probably get something slightly bigger, with 30mph top speed and slightly more range, possibly suspension. :)

@@kalle5548 thanks man! After thinking about it for quite a bit, I think that I’m going to get a wheel specifically for learning. Something nimble so I can fine tune “tricks” , like riding backwards, bobbing around, and as close to doing a track-stand as I possibly can. You know: A parking lot & bike-park wheel. A skill building wheel. I’m sure that it will get banged up to all hell.. but then my second wheel should have *strong dirt capabilities .. and will also get banged up to all holy hell. I dunno. Just thinking out loud

Hi WGT. I just ordered an Extreme from James-NGM using your code, thank you. QUESTION: I didn't know there were aftermarket suspension linkages for Extreme. I'm wanting to install Grizzla fairing kit; I assume a new linkage will work with the fairing / bumper kit??? Where do you find good aftermarket replacement linkages and would it still work with DS200 shock absorber? Thanks.

Thanks for your support 😀 You know, to be completely honest I really liked the stock linkage on the extreme with the coil shock. I know, it's a bit of an unpopular opinion... I would suggest you give your linkage a try before deciding to swap it out, just to see if you like it. The absolute best suspension linkage that you can buy is an x-shaped linkage, and a few people sell it privately online, but you need to get a different shock because the DS200 is not the right size and is very oversprung for that linkage shape. Fast speeds on the road, I am definitely going the tether route. I ride a 97lb machine. 35-40 mph and i crash, i get separated and that thing becomes a suitcase sized bowling ball. At a minimum the tether should keep it from bouncing and lay it flat.

How is wearing a smart watch while wearing wrist guards? I imagine watch is up on your arm, maybe doesn't rotate around as nicely if it was right on your wrist.

I use the wrist guards that eWheels includes for free with every order. There are just two straps that go over the top, so it's pretty easy to wear a watch and wrist guards at the same time.

Indeed it does, but it's not loud at all and the sound quality is pretty poor. It also doesn't help that the speakers face outward rather than up. I understand why they did that though, because water would pool in the speaker if they made it face directly up. I can't hear the beeps easily when going fast
