Excellent list. S of T was my first introduction to KZfaq . Andy Edwards is great and he ranked TFTO as the "Proggiest Album of the 1970's" so I know why you are a fan. I would have added "Niah the Prog Nerd" as her shows are pretty good. And now I know why you are so excited on camera. It's the Mt. Dew !!

UPDATE: My girlfriend uploaded for me an album by Yes called Fragile. I listened to it around 3 o'clock this morning...then I listened to it again. Bloody hell! I still can't believe what I've just heard. I've ordered the deluxe CD version from amazon. I never realised it was possible for a band to sound like that. The bass guitar is actually INTERESTING! I mean he plays it like a lead instrument. If their other stuff is like this then I reckon I've found my favourite band coz I can't imagine anything else could possibly be as good as this. Cans & Brahms, South Side Sky, Roundabout and Long Distance Runaround can't be beaten...except on another album by Yes perhaps.

“JCM-Led Zeppelin Stories”…… you’d love this guys channel too….he talks about more then just Zeppelin, but his stories on Zeppelin are really in-depth. All the people you list I am a subscriber to. I love “Canadian Stud Muffin” and “Taste Like Music” and “Classic Album Review”. Aberdale’s channel is great as is Melinda’s …..And Pete’s channel and Martin’s (another great Canadian 🇨🇦🇨🇦)….I also love Andy Edwards….he has a great channel from the UK and was Robert Plants drummer in the early 2000’s. I’m gonna subscribe to the other names you mentioned that I am not currently signed up for. All the best,Scot! Cheers✌️🇨🇦

Those are all fine channels and The Prog Corner of course! I'm also a big fan of Mike Jerant Music, his series of albums of a year is terrific.

Pretty much nailed them all (+ a few others mentioned below)...I stumbled onto SoT in March 2020 (had time, work had sent us home for CV-19). Seeing SoT spawned some Channels (Andy Edwards) & more recently, other Channels doing guest stints has opened up more for Channels for me...Pete was genius with his scheduled programming move. It is very much like a Network.

Classic Albums is well deserved for No1, Please guys more love for Abigail Devoe ...she is so knowledgeable for one so young

I subscribe to the top three but will investigate the others from your descriptions. Good show. I woud be interested in your other metrics. I would guess I am an outlier being a Brit aged 70 living in Scotland.

As for music channels -- I love your enthusiasm and I like Sea of Tranquility for its naturalness. Pete is a real music lover as are his pals. It gets a little too indulgent at times (and Martin Popoff can talk too much) but it's usually fun. Andy Edwards has great commentary and insight. My opinion may stray from his at times but he certainly gives his opinions a lot of thought. As a bass player, I like "For Bass Players Only" and they actually voted my channel as one of "The 10 best bass channels on KZfaq" , so there's that. Rick Beato has great stuff, though at times I feel he's stretching for topics. I used to think Adam Neely was pretty good but his personality started to rub me the wrong way. Scott of Scotts bass lessons does a great job though he'll take 20 minutes to explain something that can be explained in 20 seconds. Other than that, there's always stuff popping up that may be of interest on one topic or another.

You're right up there on my list, brother. Keep rockin!

No surprise that my channel is way too small to make the cut, but appreciate the shoutout! If I can claim to have influenced the biggest Prog KZfaqr in even some small way, I'd say that is a pretty good accomplishment! I think our channel goals have diverged...you want the exponential growth and to be the biggest Prog channel on KZfaq (and make a living doing it) whereas I'm just trying to find a small supportive following that allow me to continue to make the type of videos I'm most passionate about. I think we've each crafted channels that best fit our personalities!

I've been watching Pete, Andy and Barry a long time, Pete turned me on to Prog Corner.

This appeared in my 'recommended' feed along with Spinnin Prog but I'm not a prog rock fan - not because I don't like it - I just don't know much about it. I've heard of ELP, Yes and Genesis but that's it. I have come across a few bands recently that I really like - especially Tangent, UNIT and Myth Of Logic - so if they qualify as prog rock then I suppose I must be a fan. I'll definitely check out some of the other groups I see listed in your videos. Spinnin Prog are superb, though. I'm about the same age as Tara so it's nice to know you don't have to be ancient to enjoy prog rock (no offence meant to older viewers / readers).

I loved this tho as many of these channels are among my faves! Man when you mentioned how once you see the red light you go crazy I could totally relate! I go into each Cosmic Vinyl video with the intent to just be chill and relaxed but once I hit record it’s no holds barred! Something in my brain fires into overdrive! So I feel ya Brother! interesting. A bit surprised by some of those on the list (I only follow about half of those included), as well as those that didn't make the list (many of which you mentioned. Surprised that, overall, the other notable mainly prog channels didn't make it, but some of the more general and vinyl-oriented channels did. I guess maybe your audience isn't quite as prog-centric as would have thought.

Love Andy Edwards. But also, Australian micro channel, Foul Quince - knowledge and analysis at a terrifying level of impressiveness. In the style of Barry Robinson. Recent essays by the Foul Quince include T Rex, Glam Rock, Rockabilly, John Hyatt, Laura Nyro. His essay on Scott Walker, Nacht and Nebel, is absolutely brilliant. To meet him, see his Banjos and Onions video - the most sensitive and funny dissing video I've ever seen.

Rick Beato and The Daily Doug I do like, the former for his inside music stories and the latter for opening himself up to new music. The music channel I do not understand the popularity of is Professor of Rock. It's all top 40 and all the information he gives you can get from Wikipedia. Yet he has almost 200,000 subscribers and Sea of Tranquility still is under 100,000.

Hi Scott, I take most KZfaqrs with a grain of salt, music is to personnel and everyone has different opinions and tastes. I do enjoy some reaction channels Jim, Airplay Beats.

Hey Scot! I have to give a shout out to the channel that I have been following the longest. Sina Drums has a channel that is 10 years old. She has 1.56 Million subscribers and 649 Million views! Sina turned 25 years old last week. Not only is she an incredible drummer, Sina is an incredible person! I can't say enough good things about this amazing person. Awesome channel. Sina ROCKS❣️❣️❣️👍😎
