Adam introduces the much loved and popular red coloured cultivar of Acer palmatum (Japanese Maple) Deshojo bonsai tree. Prized by newer bonsai growers and more experienced enthusiasts for its vibrant spring foliage, A deshojo Maple bonsai is on many people lists of tree to own.
Deshojo Maples can be expensive to buy. In this video, we look at lower priced, grafted trees and discuss how to get the best out of them. The lower priced, grafted Deshojo are a good starting place for beginners to bonsai. However due to the lower price, there are certain steps that can be taken in order to get the best out of these little part-trained bonsai trees.
