I really liked the video and am interested in watching more. will the course work for live lite or do you need intro or higher? and by chance will you be doing a black friday or end of year discount?
@AirZeee
@AirZeee 11 ай бұрын
@@damienthorn2917(i expect but don’t know for sure) that Live Lite would be fine initially, but it has limitations. However, history has proven that limitation and overcoming them has resulted in much innovation- “necessity is the mother of all invention “. There are freeware synths etc out there too, so if budget is an issue, just get creative 👍

I bought Live 10 Suite and have not fully committed since way back then... I've watched quite a few of your vids Oscar and your way of explaining things with visual references (drums and mixer) while obvious for most, have totally changed these simple concepts in Ableton for me... hugely appreciated!! You are Awesome 🙌. The information always remains the same, it's the teacher who makes the difference... Thank you so much.

Hi i think i am gonna buy your course as your YT free sample was very engaging and clearly explained. I am a bit confused about physical drum machines vs VST/instruments within DAW like Ableton. Is it better to stick to one source of creating drum beats (e.g. only within DAW?). Is there any advantage (apart from creativity and user experience) of having a physical drum machine? If i program a sentence on my drumbox e.g. Drumbrute ..will I be able to record /send it directly to Ableton as an audio clip or will i be able to send only midi tracks to Ableton and then I would need to "fill them up" with proper instruments taken from my DAW's library? (that would mean I would lose the original sound created by my drum machine right?)

Hey Oscar! Perhaps you or some of your other viewers can help me! What order do you recommend a beginner watches your videos in? I'm brand new to production and I've just watched the 'First Hour of Making Electronic Music' video which was incredibly helpful. I'd love to subscribe to your course but it's a bit pricey for the time being so I'm relying on your KZfaq videos. I'm just trying to understand simple structures and song progressions, so videos Like Hi Hat strategies (gears) and Syncopation are super helpful because they tell me where to place those notes. However, I've been jumping around - for example, I started with Dotted Bassline then half way through switched to the Moroder's Bassline video, then to Learn Any Synth, to Subtractive Synth, to finally this video. I feel like I should have done that in completely opposite order. Please help a newbie out :) P.S I've commented this on your other posts, I don't mean to spam you, I'm just hoping some views would chime in.

Hi Oscar, Thank you so much for bringing such a clear and constructive course! I had been building up my producing skills smoothly and stably. Looking forward to explore further. Just I have one problem and need more helps from you: I try to preview Underdog MIDI pack in Ableton, but the software reminds me that these samples are broken or not available due to being made by higher version of Ableton. (Mine is Live 10 Suite). Among 5 folders of the sample pack, the MIDI pack (number4) is the only one doesn't work in my Ableton. Is there any solution to fix this expect upgrading my Ableton? Thank you so much.

Hi! Thanks for the kind words 🤗normally .mid files should be readable by even very old versions of Ableton, as it's kind of a universal filetype that doesn't require Live11 to work. I'm not sure why it's giving you that error - have you tried dragging the .mid files straight into Live from your browser?
@yuan2063
@yuan2063 2 жыл бұрын
@@OscarUnderdog The extension of that MIDI files are ".alc". And I guess I'm not the only one who met this issue.. I read another person's help request in the discussion pond of the "chord progression" (paid) course. So I know this may be a common issue... for now, at least. Thought I should let you know and solve for more people who need the course and file. About the technique - Is there anyway to downgrade the .alc files? Can you operate on that? Or I can pass to my friend who owns Live 11 to help as long as the files are workable for modification. Looking forward to your advise! 🌈 Thank you.
