They are cheap too you can buy some for $3000-5000 in Canada, Jdm cars are super cheap in Canada bought my 1998 Subaru B4 RSK twin turbo 330hp for $3000. Some of my friends bought Evo 5-6 for $15000 a few years ago.

I used to work at a JDM import place in the Coachella Valley. 99% of all Americans who own a pickup truck or SUV would unironically be better off with a Kei Truck or Kei Van, but they’re all being hotrodded so people can blow vapes out the blow-off valve.

Not to mention they are only climbing in price, pretty much a decision to either get a kei truck that is 25+ years old, or get a SxS Polaris RZR that isn't even over 10 years old yet. I mean yeah it costs money to import them, but when these companies get these in bulk to reduce shipping prices, wtf is that point of buying them when they are over 5000 dollars?

This might be controversial, but I'll say it - The correct amount of horsepower is 250-300, depending on weight. Past that, you're into stupid fast territory. Your car isn't fun anymore. It's just crazy. You know what's fun? Slamming gears in a slow car and still going less than highway speed.

I think y'all bring up an excellent point when you talk about how that built ass Subaru gets absolutely walked by a Model 3. These "builds" that are just shitheads throwing their retirement money at a car that does nothing but pull hard on the freeway just don't have a point anymore. They're not really any more interesting to drive than some point-and-shoot EV other than the sound (though that one sounded like shit) and all you're doing is taking yet another example of a cool car they're not making any more of and turning it into something that won't even be on the road in 10 years. If you're gonna spend that kind of money on a car, at least do something interesting with it.

Or at the very least do it to a salvage car. I really want to get a salvage new edge mustang and get into drifting, don't plan on doing much with the engine (even if it's a V6), just put a different diff in and a roll cage. Boom, I didn't put much money into it and realistically won't take much of a loss if I sell it later.

Especially because you know it's because some dealer got salty about people buying 5000 dollar after import fees trucks that suit them just fine. Instead of getting assfucked by the dealer to get into a Mavrick at worst for 30k. Same reason the 25 year import ban is in place anyways. Never to do with safety, just salty dealers upset at folks finding better deals.

I actually was the one who bought the Nissan Cedric lol I bought it as a daily driver and honestly is a nice car, it was dirty in the pics and looks much better now. The wheels (to my surprise) are actually Rays Genome wheels and they’re a nice set of wheels for what they’re for. I’m probs coping but I honestly enjoy it!

Unless you're using it as a farm vehicle, they are dumb and impractical in the states. I live in Japan and have 2. One is turbo and one is NA. I have to be in 2nd gear to go up slight hills and they top out at just around 65mph. If I get in an accident, the car will be demolished, and because they make no power, it takes more throttle to move them, so their fuel economy is shit. If you get more power out of them, the rest of your drivetrain will probably shit the bed. Most Kei transmissions can break at 100hp.

That F250 is straight. Looking at the bottom of the box side doesn't matter, because the tail section is rolled tighter than the forward section. You can see it on both sides of the truck

I own a corolla fx16, they handle really well, for a fwd car, 2k lbs, nice interior, rare these days aswell. Great cars. Those wheels are god awful though.

While this can be a positive, if someone boring is wanting the automotive equivalent of an appliance in the form of an EV, the Volt would have been pushing it with it's tail light design.

Man i think the cedric looks really good apart from the front end. The hood ornament with the logo on the grille looks like shit and has always looked stupid (newer mercs have it too and it is not good) but i just like the shape of the car. It reminds me of a w140 and for that reason i could just get that. They would be cheaper here anyways. I get the hate on the cope stuff that the owner had on it, it is cringe. But a stock one of those and i'd happily drive that for years.

In terms of the kei truck modding bull, goodluck saying that to anywhere else in asia. Heck kei trucks are just cheap local shit here yet some people mod them
