All in all mine costed about 200$ and feels freakin premium.

@@carlosm.sierra1465 For how many days you can eat noodles with 200, yes it's expensive... but for what it's worth, no it isn't as no factory keyboard of this price range gets even close to its qualities. And compared to high end custom ones with bells and whistles that can easily go beyond 600, it's still very descent. People put their money where they need and/or enjoy it. For me, while not being rich by any stretch of the imagination, it's a good investment as I spend a lot of time working and having fun using a keyboard. Plus now I know how to maintain and repair it, and it's is more cost effective than having to buy a new one if I got an issue.

I purchased that Razer Blackwidow mini v3 with phantom keycaps on clearance for 60 freedom bux. It's just a backup board for my Steam Deck that lives in a backpack. For my purposes, it's great because it can work either wired, 2.4ghz, or BT. I like the clackiness and the tactlity of it, and I love all of the different rgb modes and the macros that can be set up with different button combinations. I get that it's probably not your thing, but it isn't trash. It's a solid board that can be had at a reasonable price that accomplishes a specific task. Not everyone wants bespoke 800$ pastel boards with waifu caps that only work wired.

in the esports scene, this isnt trash at all. gaming keebs are different.. pro players like it (especially the wooting one) now in terms of their experience using it, affects how they play in game and how comfortable they play on it. u can still use custom even in pro plays but i think this is personal preference, no need to sht on about people’s prefererred keeb.

you can also not buy a keyboard for razer and buy a high end wooting or steel series keyboard that performs infinitely better than your cutom keyboard that doesn't have hall effect switches if your priority is to have a pretty gaming setup that sounds nice when you press the buttons I suggest you also buy cat ear headphones

There is a two type of keyboard user I think , it was a custom user and a pro gamer user . Custom user is only focusing on the aesthetic , sound and the quality , they would spend like a bunch of money on tools , keycaps , switches and cases like the keyboard youtuber you used to watch while pro gamers like me only focusing on the performance , quality and the price , we personally we don't care about the sounds of heaven or stuff. You can tell about your opinion. Btw , razer keyboard only made for pro gamer bc of fast respond switches and it doesn't sound good so thats why.

Its all preference, having a clicky switch isn't for everyone, but some people like the tactile and auditory feedback of a "click" either for typing or gaming, for an example, the click can indicate you've pressed "R" to reload... Otherwise is all down to preference after all, thats the great thing about the keyboard hobby!

it's just hobby maxing done to the extreme, any normal pc gamer would not give a f about the sound of their kb as long as it feels good to type on since most would already wear closed back headphones (larger majority are made as closed not open back) not hearing a thing. Honestly with all the geeky hobbies out there keyboard nerds are the worst of them all. If the keyboard can last a long time and feels good that's all that matters not this sound bs. I've looked for the past days for a new kb for work and now I am flooded with these sound maxing nerds.

Too bad for me, I have a keyboard but the keys on it weren’t meant to be taken off, which mean that if I did manage to take a key off the keyboard, then the keyboard would pretty much be ruined and I would have to get a new one😭

My keyboard was like 60$ on amazon its the blue and yellow rk h81 that comes with pale green tactile switches and blue samurai keycaps in an awesome case gasket mounted and has a control knob. Oh and it costed like 3 dollars to get the tape and foam to put under the pcb and im a stupid 14 year old with no experience so technically $63 dollars for something worth probably hundreds. Dont waste money on expensive keyboards but dont buy cheap ones either, get cheap and amazing quality. By far better than many 500 dollar custom ones.

Custom keyboards is a hobby like any other hobby and some people like to collect them, every keyboard is different in terms of sound, feel and look, and being custom means you can customized them to be 1 of 1 making them exactly how you like it! Its no different then collecting Pokemon cards, vinyl records or skins in a video game.
