How anyone that hears this either doesn't fall in love with this song and/or with you is insane. I am of Scots ancestry and the only ones more crazy/passionate then the Scots are the Irish and this version....your version....breathes new life into a VERY old song and tugs at the tears and heartstrings. OMG what a beautiful rendition. I've been a musician for over 40 years. This brought tears to my eyes. What soul you have in your voice. I love the inflection of your Irish accent. I was truly moved. I cannot elucidate accurately what this did to me. Bravo Janet!!

Out of every audition video I've ever watched, yours is the one that I fell in love with all that time ago. You gave a voice to the more quiet people in the world, including myself. I'm 18 now and it's absolutely wonderful that you're still chasing the same dream you had back then. This is my favorite version she's recorded. My mom had this cd growing up. I knew every word to every song. When I heard this version being Scottish I fell in love with how charming her accent is. 💜 And of course it being a female version of a songI love it's relatable to any girl who grew up poor like myself. My family all had artistic talent they could pain draw play instruments my only talent was my voice so this song has always touched a special place in my heart. This version is beautiful

I read some dumb comment on your zombie video that they said "sometimes your voice is too high in covers" what an idiot! I think some people don't understand that you're NOT trying to sound just like the original, you sound like YOU and that's what I LOVE about you! Oh, I think I found it! I just watched a beautiful Olympic skating performance by a young Japanese woman. There was a very wistful performance of this song I'd never heard before - not this exact one, of course, but I think this voice. On 5 Feb, 2022. Just beautiful!

My 7 year old daughter has the same hair and she is so unique. She has the personality of 10 children in one...and is a force of nature. She loves me more than anyone In my life...including my own mother. It hurts me to say that cuz my mother loves me so...but my little girl has a fire so strong I cannot describe.

This is a good cover, but I think the sheer nervousness she had at that audition so long ago added to her overall performance. Both are great, don't get me wrong. But there was so much more emotion in the audition.
