Hello, my name is Jon Michael, and I’m a professional pianist from Birmingham, AL. If you haven’t noticed, I am a little person, standing only 3’8” tall. @@Sargeantize Actually yes! I am setting up a home studio for some new videos, which will show that as one angle. There are some videos on my channel that have a professional crew in the studio with me, and they show that angle during the song. Just look for my videos that don't have the traditional thumbnail, and that's a good indication a professional crew was there.

I've mentioned Jon's fabulous dynamics before--but here's another thing: His Free Tempo! Jon lets the phrase dictate the tempo, and he does it with such sensitivity! I do the same thing (take tempo liberty) with about 1/100 the success. But it is so freeing and so expressive. I love doing it and I love hearing it. Rock on, Jon!!!!

So very beautiful.....you have such a gifted talent, I could listen to you play all day. I can't even pick a favorite there are so many. Your sheet music isn't quite the same as the original you play. Will you ever be offering the version you play as sheet music sometime in the future? I am not creative enough to improvise, and for sure not the caliber player you are....and I have no idea how to even practice the fancy little runs you do. But would love to see the original on paper:) Thank you again for sharing your gift.

Thank you so much Sue!!! The sheets should represent all of the notes I’m playing, but to pull off the tone/style, would take a good bit of practice. If there are any errors in the sheets though, I can send it off for revision. I can’t read my own music, so I’m not even sure haha.

@@jmopiano Thank you for checking in to it. The melody is correct. It is missing notes from what you are playing(not just this piece).....it is showing single notes where in places you are playing chords and I think some of the lighter touch notes may not be there. It is like it is missing the "orchestra" part, like it is lacking the depth. It is still very beautiful, and to pull off your touch, tone/style is not possible, that is your gift alone that makes you. I am in total disbelief that you can not read music, but I think some of the most gifted don't. Keep it up♥

Heck yeah, a more advanced version of this song. After playing for so long, it can be hard to find high end versions of songs sometimes. I will definitely be checking out what you have a lot more.

The opening bars of this always make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up - it's a fabulous song. You played a beautiful rendition there, Jon. Have seen Elton John in concert twice (within a fortnight!) at London's Royal Albert Hall, many years ago - so this song means a lot. Thank you - and congratulations.

It's actually a Yamaha 6' G3 at the recording studio I use. It's hands down my favorite piano of all time, which is why I continue to go back!

@@jmopiano wow, it sounds great. Looks like a pre-1980s model, I love the satin finish. The studio must have a great tech to keep the piano sounding so good.
