Elton John's "The Million Dollar Piano" is a residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. I knew this was going to be my wedding song when I first heard it when I was around 8 years old. When I got married it was my wedding song in 1990. Now that, I left him in 2012 for personal reasons...and we both went our separate ways for several years, we have come back into each other's lives and are best friends. He now has Stage 3 Advanced Lung Cancer and is fighting for his life. This song has ALWAYS made me cry, happy and now sad tears. Please pray for him because I can't imagine my life without him! This will ALWAYS be our song!

SE Hinton was 15 in Oklahoma in the 1960s when she wrote the novel The Outsiders (Hamlet) and 19 when she wrote That Was Then, This Is Now (King Lear). She used her initials because of the belief her audience would be prejudiced if it was known she was not a guy. I believe she married the special guy who got her out of her writer's block at 19 by insisting she write a page a day. She became a nurse.

This amazing song reminds me of love and my first boyfriend? It holds a special place in my heart and I got to see Sir Elton John soon after I first heard it. He was like magic to my ears! His incredible voice and piano playing became a life long memory to me! At 71 I still get so nostalgic hearing this enduring, beautiful song and I will always respect his talent and years of enjoying his music! What a gem he is to the music industry! There will only be one Elton John ever. He has been astonishing in every song thereafter and of course kudos to Bernie Taupin. Both so impressive!

Had his 1st album and sang this to my 1st girlfriend. She loved me but I moved on, this song always reminds me of her. She was a good woman, saw her recently after 40 yrs, she wanted to get back together, but I couldn't, what we had once was gone, but what we did have was good.

Im watching in 2022. I love Elton and Bernie. Believe it or not, Bernie has always been my hero. Elton is a musical genius. Probably the best keyboard player in recent history. I'm not sure if you are jade or it still touches your heart when you get a post about a fan like me seeing you in person. Once at Terra Movie Theatre in Atlanta, where I didn't bother you and another time when some friends of mine had some Charlotte concert tickets. We had grass seat and someone that worked there asked us if we were big Sir Elton John fans. I asked him if he was kidding and the next thing I know he ushered all 3 of us to the front row! One of the happiest moments of my life! Your songs have made me laugh ang cry many tears but, Daniel is my favorite song. Much love and continued success. I don't have much money but boy if I did . That verse takes me back to Elton's early years more the any other . Elton talking about living with his parents in their North London flat . I can't help but notice the best recording artists in my life time have never forgot where they came from . Nothing given to them . Nothing handed to them . The stories that inspired a certain recording are a treasure to hear .This is something that is fast fading away . I feel that is why so many of us go back to this golden era . Approaching my 70’s now, this has been my favourite song from the first time I heard it. More to the point, it is only recent that I saw the clip from Rocketman showing the origin of Your Song which has cemented my feelings for this piece of music. When I was in college our radio station ran a week long fund raiser. I wound up with the last 2 shifts which was from saturday night at 11pm to sunday morning at 8 am. It was a hell of a night since in those days no one played music at that tie because everyone had to do public service as well as signing off for maintenance. I ended the radiothon with Your Song. Then I cried for about 10 minutes.
