I absolutely loved Peru, but the altitude sickness in Cusco was brutal. Not being able to sleep or breathe properly has sadly put me off going to certain countries in that part of the world. I'll just experience them through your videos 🙂

I should be in Cusco right now! But had to turn back to Lima after waiting by a road blockage for 15h on the way to Arequipa 😭😭 your very lucky you just managed to get on before it all started, I have to fly home from Peru having only seen Lima and huacachina :(

Omg how I love your videos, I have just discovered your vlogs and you are so inspiring! Thank you! I found as I am researching a solo trip from iquitos to colombia and home from panama. It's a very last minute decision but I hope to leave somewhere at the beginning of February, I'd love to hear about your iquitos leg of your journey. Who knows we could cross paths one day! That altitude would get me for sure! You do look quite knackered on some of those hikes...or were you hungover? lol Food looks delicious, with the exception of the guinea pig. You're the only one i know that would eat that then go to a vegan restaurant! Peru still looking amazing...

Hey, i just saw your video and it’s in deed the best explanatory video that i have seen about Peru and getting to know Cusco. I am a spanish native language. I send it to my wife because we’d like to visit next year. She was also astonished of the quality and the level of explanation, but she doesn’t speak english. I tried the CC’s but they were also in english. I was wondering if i can collaborate with you and translate this to spanish, so this video can get to many more people. Hello Christianne, thank you for this great travel guide! I love it!!! I’m thinking about traveling to Peru next year and have started to think about which wear and gear I still have to buy for this trip. If you could make a video (or maybe comment here?) about what things (wear and gear) you actually used from your packed things and what you recommend to definitely bring (at least) for a backpacking trip to Peru, that would be really awesome. I’m a minimalist packer and I don’t want to pack too much stuff yet all the things needed. It’s going to be my first trip to a mountain area and I’m somewhat really lost regarding wear and gear. If anyone else reading this has any recommendations, I‘m super thankful for any advice as well. Regards and love from snowy & christmassy Germany

It’s an interesting concept- but think for example in India we wouldn’t dream of eating cows, but here in the UK it’s completely normal. They are all animals at the end of the day I don’t think one is weirder than the other

Hi, didn't you check the news before posting? Peru is in a state of emergency and traveling to Peru is highly not recommended. I would advise you to remove the video immediately and repost it when the situation calms down again.

Of course I am aware of the news. I just left Peru myself. This video is designed to help people plan their trips for the future. It is the viewers own responsibility to assess current travel conditions as to when they travel themselves. What you’re suggesting is like asking every KZfaqr to remove every video of Peru on the internet just because you can’t travel there right now which is a bit ridig don’t you think? 🥱

@@BackpackingBananas I don't agree with your comments but it's of course up to you. You post a video just last day as if you just left or maybe still there. This gives your watchers the impression that all is safe there. At the moment it's not even possible to reach Aguas Caliente from Cusco as the train services are down so people will get trapped. Older videos won't have the same effect.

Thank you for releasing your ultimate guide to Cusco video. obviously, it will not be influencing me, or anyone else in their right mind, to rush to an airport, train station, or bus station and attempt to immediately travel to Cusco...not that it is even possible to do that given the current situation... which everyone is already aware of...unless they live in a cave ! as you state, correctly - the latest political developments and current affairs are indeed what the news is for. no one turns to your channel for that information. however, you do have 179,000 subscribers and others who haven't subscribed, yet, who wish to continue following YOUR journey, as you travel... as some of us have done for years. therefore, this video is completely valid and of great interest to the majority of us viewing. that is one reason why you are continuing to satisfy your audience by giving us the quality product we have become used to. personally, i am interested to see the latest and most up to date tourist related content you, or anyone publishs. right now, is the perfect time for me to review your latest video releases, while considering how i might choose to spend my time in and around Cusco and elsewhere in the region. not today. not tomorrow. but IN THE FUTURE, once the current turbulence has subsided. please keep up the excellent work you do and continue publishing your videos.... as and when it best suits you. thanks and merry christmas.
