It's more entertaining when it involves scenes related to the nuclear power plant Homer works at. Smithers's love for Mr. Burns is sad and cringeworthy by itself. It's not actually unusual for workers to improvise a bowling ball and bowling pins out of other things, though hopefully these items aren't being used.
