The majority of the "elites" and politicians are blackmailed and forced to sleep with minors so they can be controlled. Along with Hollywood. Why do you think Paul Walker was killed for making a documentary about it all..him and many others tried to warn us all and paid a price. Its time for people to wake up and fight back!

This song is so powerful and is the an anthem to every working class person. I have 3 kids and am a stay at home mom because we can't afford child care. My husband works 2 jobs right now and we still run negative every single month. Our politicians are not for us the people, they are only looking out for their own pocketbooks, and that is on both sides. I feel this song so soo strongly that every time i hear it it makes me cry. I cannot wait for the day when we all finally come together and make our government work for us! We the people need to unite!!! ✊️✊🏻✊🏾✊🏿

If you look at a map of the US, Washington DC is directly north of Richmond, Virginia. Also, he is not a traditional artist. He did an interview where he stated that he turned down an $8 million records deal because he didn't want to be part of an industry that does nothing but controls their artists. He wrote these songs as a way to cope with his depression and being part of a working class in a country that is trying to completing get rid of you. You are absolutely right! There are so many layers to this song.

Im from Indiana, dad's been a coal miner for 20 years, both below and above ground. Husband works in a car factory. I've watched all the men in my life as I've grown up break their backs, work 14 or more hours six or seven days a week. I've watched the work take its toll on my dad, with a bad back, nerve pain, fingers get crushed, and hearing fading. And I've watched as his benefits go down as the cost go up. Watched him struggle to provide the best for us kids and his heart break at the world we were left to inherit. Now I watch my husband try his heart out to take care of me and our coming baby girl. He works his joints to the bone and rages against the government who takes 1/4 of his pay off the top. Then it's taxed over and over and over again to buy food, gas, and our bills. Our rights and freedoms get twisted away from us more and more and the folks we thought who would try to help don't do heck. It's a song for all of us who are just trying to make a better life.

@n.d.m.515 It's not even about economics, it's about control. This is a spiritual war of good vs. evil. The Bible is the first conspiracy book as it describes a coming one world govt, religion and economy. Look to the book of Revelation, which was written 2 millennia ago, for a description of current events. We know that ultimately God is victorious, but we go through some very traumatic events to get there.

Not only that. Children are sex trafficked every day all over, not just on a private island. Children disappear daily, many from the foster care system, that just don’t have anyone that is missing them. They are labeled as runaways and the system just moves on. Also have you heard about all the children that have come across the border unaccompanied, or by men pretending to be their father so they get processed quicker, that have been “lost” ? They are picked up by people claiming to be their relatives and then disappear, never to return for their case date on their migrant status. The government has no idea where they are or if they are even alive and are trying to hide that fact.

@@christopherturco197 it is, virginia is a blue collar mining state, but the democrats have been putting a stop to alot of the mining and the mining towns are collapsing because for these towns like 60% of the men worked in the mines now you have 60% of the towns men suddenly without work, which means they have no money, no money means they can't go to restaurants which means restaurants shut down leaving more unemployed, unemployed can't go to theatres, or bowling alleys, or bars, etc etc etc leading to more and more businesses shutting down and you end up with a town full of people on welfare with nothing to do but drink as they watch their town collapse.

To be an American is a privilege but its also a curse because of the politicians and how we have become dollar signs and nothing more. I get chills when I hear this song. Finally someone has the guts to spell it out. He is just an ordinary man who became the voice of middle and lower class in this country. So many people still haven’t caught on that the good old days of our parents being democrats in the union doesn’t mean the same thing anymore. This man is Chris Lunsford. His KZfaq channel is called "Oliver Anthony Music" as an homage to his grandfather of that name. He lives on some property just outside of Farmville, Virginia in a camper. This was filmed there . The "Rich Men North of Richmond (Virginia)" are politicians in Washington DC. I am in Lynchburg, Virginia which is an hour west of Farmville. Though some not-so-flattering truths have been brought to light about his business practices since going viral, he openly states, prior and since, that he has no clue how to manage such things. Regardless, no one can deny the impact of this performance combined with its message.

STRAIGHT FROM OLIVER ANTHONY (aka Chris Lunsford): It’s been difficult as I browse through the 50,000+ messages and emails I’ve received in the last week. The stories that have been shared paint a brutally honest picture. Suicide, addiction, unemployment, anxiety and depression, hopelessness and the list goes on. Im sitting in such a weird place in my life right now. I never wanted to be a full time musician, much less sit at the top of the iTunes charts. Draven from RadioWv and I filmed these tunes on my land with the hope that it may hit 300k views. I still don’t quite believe what has went on since we uploaded that. It’s just strange to me. People in the music industry give me blank stares when I brush off 8 million dollar offers. I don’t want 6 tour buses, 15 tractor trailers and a jet. I don’t want to play stadium shows, I don’t want to be in the spotlight. I wrote the music I wrote because I was suffering with mental health and depression. These songs have connected with millions of people on such a deep level because they’re being sung by someone feeling the words in the very moment they were being sung. No editing, no agent, no bullshit. Just some idiot and his guitar. The style of music that we should have never gotten away from in the first place. So that being said, I have never taken the time to tell you who I actually am. Here’s a formal introduction: My legal name is Christopher Anthony Lunsford. My grandfather was Oliver Anthony, and “Oliver Anthony Music” is a dedication not only to him, but 1930’s Appalachia where he was born and raised. Dirt floors, seven kids, hard times. At this point, I’ll gladly go by Oliver because everyone knows me as such. But my friends and family still call me Chris. You can decide for yourself, either is fine. In 2010, I dropped out of high school at age 17. I have a GED from Spruce Pine, NC. I worked multiple plant jobs in Western NC, my last being at the paper mill in McDowell county. I worked 3rd shift, 6 days a week for $14.50 an hour in a living hell. In 2013, I had a bad fall at work and fractured my skull. It forced me to move back home to Virginia. Due to complications from the injury, it took me 6 months or so before I could work again. From 2014 until just a few days ago, I’ve worked outside sales in the industrial manufacturing world. My job has taken me all over Virginia and into the Carolinas, getting to know tens of thousands of other blue collar workers on job sites and in factories. Ive spent all day, everyday, for the last 10 years hearing the same story. People are SO damn tired of being neglected, divided and manipulated. In 2019, I paid $97,500 for the property and still owe about $60,000 on it. I am living in a 27′ camper with a tarp on the roof that I got off of craigslist for $750. There’s nothing special about me. I’m not a good musician, I’m not a very good person. I’ve spent the last 5 years struggling with mental health and using alcohol to drown it. I am sad to see the world in the state it’s in, with everyone fighting with each other. I have spent many nights feeling hopeless, that the greatest country on Earth is quickly fading away. That being said, I HATE the way the Internet has divided all of us. The Internet is a parasite, that infects the minds of humans and has their way with them. Hours wasted, goals forgotten, loved ones sitting in houses with each other distracted all day by technology made by the hands of other poor souls in sweat shops in a foreign land. When is enough, enough? When are we going to fight for what is right again? MILLIONS have died protecting the liberties we have. Freedom of speech is such a precious gift. Never in world history has the world had the freedom it currently does. Don’t let them take it away from you. Just like those once wandering in the desert, we have lost our way from God and have let false idols distract us and divide us. It’s a damn shame. If you go to OliverAnthonyMusic.com you can learn more about him, even his self-made cellphone interviews (IT’S A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU [Part 1 & 2) speaking directly to the people, and no second guessing of what he’s all about. kzfaq.info?search_query=it%27s+a+pleasure+to+meet+you

The rich men are the politicians in DC (about 60 miles north of Richmond, Virginia). This song gives voice to the average Americans who have been forgotten, if not outright ignored by the politicians. This country was founded as a result of being taken advantage of by someone thousands of miles away. Now that person is an entire system a lot closer to home. This song speaks to the tired depression so many of us feel, while getting a quarter of every dollar we make getting taxed and spent in a way well beyond wasteful, along with a lot just being given away. A sad state of affairs, but also dangerous. When people being held down stop being sad, they start being furious

Oliver Anthony is his stage name. I'll let you find out what his real name is. Oliver Anthony was his grandfather, so this is also an homage to his grandfather. He is a musician and he recently turned down an 8 million music contract. He lives in a run down trailer on his own land. What people are responding to isn't just the words, its the raw emotion in his voice. An anthem for all of the world, I suspect. I played this for a group of Iraqi soldiers last week, and they were cheering wildly, guns firing into the air. So there's that.

Why would a group of Iraqi soliders just randomly shoot into the air while cheering wildly? They're a professional army - not militants. Also, they spoke English? Random enlisted Iraqi infantryman, most likely from a very poor financial background, spoke enough english to not only understand all the lyrics in the song (including very specific references to things that your average Iraqi wouldn't know), but also understand the guys southern accent as well? I call bullshit

@@SanctusPaulus1962 Firing into the air is part of their culture, demonstrations of emotions, if you will. These men are being trained by SF elements. They are educated, and very professional soldiers. Most of them speak two or more languages. They are far from randomly chosen. We hand pick them. Those few who don't understand English can still react to the emotion in the singers voice. So I call your statements BS.

I'm pretty sure after playing around some bars in his hometown he put this video together it blew up overnight and now he is already doing tours and writing more music. By the way this dude is so down to earth and stands by the average American people. I saw a video he posted about a show he was getting ready to play and he found out that someone went behind his back and tried to overprice the tickets for the show and he was pissed. He went on live and told his fans not to pay the high prices for the tickets and save their money, and that he would resume the plan of the show when they released affordable concert tickets. That's a good ol' American boy if I've ever seen one.

That’s heartbreaking. I actually lived in WV at one point for a few years. However, I was from a small island in Canada. Largest industry when I was a kid was coal mining, called it working in “the pits”. Every day I remember sitting in school and hearing the sirens (sounded like the tornado warning sirens) because some man was just hurt or killed. I don’t remember a day where we didn’t hear it. Someone made a movie about what life was like for these miners and their loved ones- Margaret’s Museum with Helena Bonham Carter. Certainly the circumstances were not unique to the mining community I grew up in to those other mining towns. This song does such an incredible job of hitting on the emotions and experience of so many people. God bless you too-
