What hurts me about the whole Amy Winehouse thing is Amy Winehouse did not invent her style not her look or whatever. Is almond borrowed from a Fargo aneri. Angelina was inspired by Jazz and Amy Winehouse has similar influences in her life the only thing is Amy Winehouse had a very narrow and limited range whereas Angelina only sounds like Amy Winehouse when she's trying to. And Amy Winehouse is at the opposite end of the spectrum as far as a wholesome respectable model.

U aj fans are all idiots, it takes years to gain runway technique and experience it all of a sudden she's a supermodel, I tried to cash in on her singing, that didn't pan out. Now I just trying to make her a model and this won't pan out either. Now you know why Simon Cowell didn't give her golden buzzer or be bother with her

This song was originally performed by a group called 'The Zutons'. Then Amy Winehouse did a rendition of it that made the writer, one of the group, a fortune from the amount of sales. Angelina uses her 'vocal chameleon' ability to emulate Amy's version and really does it great. How much does she love Amy? One need only see the photo of her hugging the life size statue of Amy that sits in front of her London home.

Hi Sweetie 👋. Wonderful reaction and comments to 16 Angelina. This was filmed and prerecorded last year for this year's show. So Angelina was 16 at the time. Yes do react to her other 2 performances (see if can guess how high she sings in it) on this episode of GNTM and also her song. Angie said she wrote this about LOVE itself and not about being in love but her talking to LOVE itself and not about being in love but her talking to LOVE itself. "LOVE don't let me go". AJ goes into an altered conscience state when singing as can be seen when she loses control of her eyes and they flutter or roll back ... she has spoken to this and says she goes to a special place where everything is wonderful. Her stage presence, when this happens, is not foremost in the mental awareness but she carries on none-the-less. Interested in your thoughts on this? BTW, see less of this in her most recent live performances. Thanks for sharing

Heidi is actually very good friends with AJ. They have remained a close relationship and heidi has helped her along the way navigate los angeles.. And the vultures that live there.. This is Heidi's favorite song,, People compare her to Amy,, I think it's ridiculous I was a huge amy winehouse fan I still am,, But angelina is flat out a better singer.. Imagine these people most of them don't realize they're witnessing greatness and they're getting a personal Performance to look back on until their grand kids...

Love your reaction. FYI, at 12 years old Angelina released a great video of herself performing this song at Venice Beach, California with little sister Juliette dancing behind her. She also performed this song, as well as Love on the Brain, at her concerts last summer in Norway.

She sang this on the beach at about age 12, then again during one of her concerts in Norway last summer, and then this time. So far as I’m concerned, she hit it out of the park this time, and I think one reason is because she wanted to do her best for her friend Heidi. She also sang Love on the Brain and one more song. One of those was really short, hopefully not Love on the Brain since it’s one of your favorites. I think Angelina is 17 going on 27, intellectually, artistically and experientially! Have fun!

Hi YOSC! Thanks for reacting to this one. I love your insights and enthusiasm for Angelina! I love her phrasing and subtle changes in tone on this one; it's so professional. I agree with you that Angelina could have done some more prominent ornamentations or ad libs on the final repetitions, but there are some subtle differences on each line. I think she'll open up more as she grows into her post-puberty voice and gets more experience. I'd love to see her tour as lead singer for Queen, or spend a couple years singing in an ensemble setting, to get some more tools for her toolkit. The future of music looks rosy with Angelina on the world stage.

I agree, this is a fun song, but very repetitious. Just look at the small runs she added in Goodbye Yellow Brick Road for an example of what she could have done. Thank you for more Angelina reactions. I never cared for Love On The Brain until she performed it live last July in Norway, and again here in Germany. One of my many favorites now. You are supposed to give your opinions! That's what it makes it interesting. If I don't agree I might comment and that's me giving my opinion:-) Come to speak of it, Angelina almost always loves being on stage. The recording you speak of was a studio recording where she was focused on her singing and not performing for an audience. A different dynamic :-) Thanks!

Yes indeed, that was not really a performance... she was completely inhabiting the song for much of the recording, coming out of character occasionally to interact with Grandma Mery... I think they were bouncing off each other rather than it being just Mery who was energising Angelina... I think Angelina has had great stage presence and charisma almost from the beginning of when she performed live (at 7/8)...

As great she is in the studio, she is at her best when she sings for a live audience. Yes she and Heidi are close friends. I understand you would recommend adding a little something. One of the best ways hints about Angelina is she is self taught and she continually strives to be even better.

AJ’s height Sofia Vergara is 5'7" tall and has heels that are 5", so she is standing 6ft, Heidi Klum is 5'9" tall and has 2" boots on, so she is 5'11" tall, Angelina is not wearing shoes, and she is at least 6'1", if not taller. and she is stunning, to say the least. *All of us Angels are glad you aren't working with her. We love her songs just the way Angelina envisions them. And for your info, Angelina rarely works with others when creating her masterpieces. Just like when Queen was absolutely blown away by her version of Bohemian Rhapsody, I can imagine you saying, 'Well, if I was working with her, I would've...' You might want to humble yourself a little bit. Angelina Jordan is like these classic masterpiece artists the Eagles, Elton John, Journey, John Denver, Neil Diamond, etc., where all of their songs were the embodiment of these artists. It was their style. Angelina has her own style, and I'm pretty sure most of us Angels wouldn't touch a single verse in any of her songs. That's for Angelina to decide, and whatever she decides, we Angels will accept it wholeheartedly.*

Very few singers write the songs they sing without the collaboration of other people. The singer has the inspiration for a song and will draft the lyrics and even melody, and then seek the advice of others. All concerned work on the song until everyone - particularly the artist - is satisfied that what has been produced satisfies their original vision for the song. Angelina has acknowledged that she had help, with her original songs "Shield", "7th Heaven" and "Love don't let me go" and there may be others. This is no way detracts from Angelina's brilliance. For me, it shows a level of maturity which few of her age have.

But for the most part, she writes, creates,s and dictates most of everything having to do with her songs. Yes, she has people involved to her put it all together such as a band and recording studios, etc...* *I don't remember which video I saw her interview in because I have watched many hundreds of videos of her. So forgive me for not remembering which one it was. When I have time I will see if I can find it in my history chart.* *I do remember the host asking if she writes the songs, and she mentioned that she writes them but on a few songs, she collaborated with a few singers on different songs for special events etc...*

Just listened to this and Amy's acoustic version and tried to determine why Amy's is better. I'd say 1. the pace is too fast in Angelina's performance 2. The drums are too loud and intrusive, 3. Angelina isn't quite catching Amy's loneliness, hopelessness and longing. Angelina's voice and the way she pronounces the words are truly excellent. If the drums had been muted and the performance slowed down I think it could have been better but it was still an excellent performance.

Tbh, I am tired of hearing, she could be the next Amy🙄 she isn't another Adele or whoever might be added to that list. That counts not only for your reaction. In general all artists stand for themselves. Yes Angelina did a lot of covers by different artists, but they also did so. Angelina is a unique artist singer and performer and should be respected and seen for that. She lifted every song up to the better.and i cant really see, one of they she is always compared with, have done the same art.

I understand why everyone wants to "compare" her but she is Angelina, totally unique and so much more talent than Amy...BTW always liked Amy. She is surrounded by wonderful family and she is the kindest, sweetest, caring and classy human being you shall encounter. 🥰🥰

Neither is she James Brown, Whiney Houston, Etta James nor any of the many artists who's hits she sang making theirs her own. Close your eyes and repeat.
