I have G5, S7 and now Mi5s. G5 has been beating S7 left and right in all benchmarks. However, Mi5s has surprised me a lot. It has beat G5 in practically all the tests apart from Geekbench Multicore and Vellamo Multi-core. Some more Mi5s that I have is only 3GB ram/64GB memory. Mi5s plus would be a beast. I'm so surprised my beloved G5 is losing to a once so-called iPhone imitation phone.

G5 on Oreo is a beast. I did a Geekbench (4.0.1 same version as in this video) retest and scores are: 1700 Single score 17% improvement 3270 Multi score 43% (!) improvement

Abhi M I loved it when I had it as well. Hated LG when I tried selling the G5 and nobody wanted it until my friend bought it from me for cheap. Resale value on LG is terrible. All this is coming from someone who used a V20 lol

these tests are so stupid. nobody complains about app load times. it's more about dropping frames, stuttering when navigating UI

I feel like it would be better to only award points if it's a noticeable difference. When it comes down to fractions of a millisecond, not pushing the icon at the same time could cause a difference (like when you opened the calculator. I'm pretty sure you pressed the G5 first). Not trying to defend either device, I just think it would make for a more fair challenge.

It seems most of these speed tests are not definitive of anything: For eg: According to these tests iP7=Pixel but S7 edge is significantly faster than the Pixel while still losing out to iP7... Also I feel that speed of performance should be determined by how smooth an OS can run without dropped fps or choppy animations as a split second advantage is not nearly useful if the app opened up like a windows 98 internet explorer. My S7 feels laggy eventho it does open apps as fast as an iPhone or a Pixel...

Squirtle yourmom those test you watch were old using the old scoring system where I taking fake ass points from the benchmark and Internet app. the new scoring system is what you should focus on. screw all my garbage speed test from the pass we all know that the s7e, op3, honor 8 and m5s plus murdered the iPhone 7 plus anytime of the day. don't even bring in iPhone 7 devices in the topic that devices is no where close to those devices I mentioned.

Settings/Developer Options/ Tick on "Force GPU Rendering" this should make your Android phone smoother/snappier, If root available try L Speed/Entropy/fstrim apps found on Play Store! LG G5 & LG V20 are both snappy beasts and are well optimised with Snapdragon 820 and is better than Samsung! Why don't u enable these and do a Speed test for every devices?

Hinestly, I like this channel in all but... I think these speed tests are pretty stupid. No one is gonna care if you lose a few milseconds on loading something up. As long as it isnt SUPER slow, and what not, I honestly think that the added things are more to think about when getting a phone, not the speed.

if u would do a chart like the play offs, where the loser device will be knocked out, to see the winner. start with random matches. Huawei mate 9 seems very promising.

The antutu score in the video must be due to heated device. I could score even 139k+ with my G5. And Geekbench 4 score is 4k in multi core, while its only 2274 in the video.

Guntars ;p Max i managed to score 150k with a fresh restart (cool down) after nougat update. Its making g5 a new beast :P

Guntars ;p why? V20 does not improve the performance much, apart from bigger screen. What i hate about G5 is the lack of support for android adaptable storage. The hack at least need to hack the android system which im not prepared to do while still under warranty. I'm actually surprise with Xiaomi Mi 5s plus. The build, quality and performance is top class for a China phone. The benchmarking thus far has been beating G5 easily, and the price is at least 30% cheaper. My next phone is going to be the successor to Mi Mix bezeless phone.

I think these types of videos ain't not essential, rather make video on multitasking system,shortcut way working,good apps can be use bla bla. Your video do not provide making any decision. For nothing job
