Living in Norway, there are things, happenings, news only natives would know. Yourway2Norway digged into these complicated symbols. What kind of symbols/pictures/stories do you only understand if you are from YOUR specific country?
There are things, images, stories, pictures, symbols and icons you will only reckon if you are a citizen or a native in that country. For example - in Norway, we have some stories connected to a symbol or an icon, that you will only be able to explain if you have lived here a long time. So - what is the difference between a tourist icon and those icons we talk about? Think about, e.g a yellow sock. Every Norwegian citizen would know what it is about. It is not like just a mountain or a fjord, as Norway is famous for mountains. It goes deeper. It is a symbol that is interpreted into the commons mind about a certain incident.
We believe every country has one. And would love to know about your countries «secret symbols» that make you really native - if you can explain them.
