Thursday morning breakfast at our hotel, I ran into Anthony and Trevor. After a short conversation, Anthony offered for me to help their setup Friday morning. Started off with mundane tasks. Built up a bit of trust (I believe) with Anthony and moved to pulling cable and wiring up speakers, drapping the cloth and anything else needed. Anthony took time to step away, and spend some time with me. He was showing how he performs calibrations and let me assist with by ear calibrations. Met Ross and Walt while working in their room. They worked my butt off, I enjoyed it all. Anthony said he didn't know why I came and worked so hard. Didn't know what to say then. After thinking about it, I came back and told him. It's about being a part of something bigger than yourself that you believe in. I believe Youthman's heart is in the right place and I support what he's accomplishing. It was great meeting everyone! They are good folks.

I wish I could have joined yall at the show, but I was with friends in the same building at Collectacon in the big hall. My friends had no interest and I was their host in town for that weekend so i couldn't see all the awesomeness of MWAVE this year. Perhaps next year.

The only projector comparison video I made was not done at MWAVE. When you run an event, you typically don’t get to attend the event.

I agree, it’s definitely a highlight of the show. I spoke to a lot of attendees that really enjoyed that room as they were able to compare side-by-side between projectors they might’ve been considering for their room

So with the projector in the hush box, it looks like there is an additional pane of glass (or whatever) that the projector has to project through. Unless I'm misunderstanding the setup. Does this affect the image? It seems like it would have to at least a little.

No different than that your local cinema. They are shooting through glass. I’m sure there’s certain type of glass that is better than others.

Hey Martin, this video was filmed at a trade show with 12 or so theater seats to maximize the amount of attendees that can experience the room at one time. A 150” simply is not going to be immersive with three rows of seating.
