Hey Rob! I like that idea of breaking down technologies into chunks…

Hi Rob, since you'll talk about Two and Three tier design, could you please explain about distribution switch interconnection. Depending on what link between them should be L2 or L3?

I just wanted to ask why we need SD wan transit to interconnect fabric sites? Can’t we do it with IP transit? What is the disadvantage?

As in internet instead of MPLS? I'm not sure what you mean.

@@RobRikerTechChannel I mean cisco proposes three ways to interconnect SD Fabric sites 1: SD Transit when you SD control nodes in between and its creating a one LISP domain where you have can create VXLAN tunnels between different physical locations 2 - IP transit, where your LISP domain ends at your border SD access node and then you just using VRF leaking for fabric VN’s and as I understood it won’t be possible to create VXLAN tunneling 3- SD WAN transit, when SD fabric interconnected using Cisco SD WAN branch routers and OMP can encapsulate VXLAN tunnel under it So I just wonder if I choose IP transit what are the cons if there is no direct VXLAN between sites? Will I be able to send SGT tags in this scenario, can’t find proper info

Hello Rob. I'm sorry for the inconvenience which was caused by comments and question regarding design. I deleted my comment. Just want to clarify a couple of things. The solution has been already implemented and I was not going to implement any other solution there and I can tell you even more, I don't have even rights to implement any other solution there, because I'm in support team. I'm just learning existing network and trying to understand how it works and why it was implemented that way. Design part of the network is my weak point and I'm trying to improve it, as much as I can. Anyway, I'll not ask this type of question anymore. My name is Alek.

All good man, for the future, if you're looking for a better understanding, lead with that and I'll be happy to help where I can. I just wanted to protect myself incase you were looking for me to solve something for you, that's all.

@@RobRikerTechChannel Thank you. For sure, I wasn't going to ask you solve anything for me 🙂 My only intention was to understand why do we need iBGP and which kind of redistribution should be in place there. As I already mentioned, network design is my weak point. So, I hope I can improve it with your "real life network" course 🙂
