We just applied for monetization after gaining over 10 million shorts videos within 60 days. If you’re still trying to get monetized, don’t give up. It is possible.

What they don’t tell you is it’s not about the Watch hours…. You can have 4000 Watch hours and still not qualify. They look at how much of your video the viewers watch!! So if 10 thousand watched your 10 minute video but only watched 2 minutes and clicked off… that doesn’t count! They want to see 80% of viewership or more! This info can be found in your analytics! You can see exactly how much your viewers watched on your videos! So make creative videos that are entertaining from start to finish to keep viewers engaged!!! Good luck! 👍

Its intresting how YT wont pay creators for ads on their vids without these requirements but its ok the YT to still add ads to the vids to make money for themselves before the channel has met the requirments...

I find it weird that they lowered shorts views by 70% but only watch time by 25%. Like come on man you couldn’t have made the watch time hours 2000 😭

KZfaq journey can be the most frustrating but rewarding thing at the same time. SEO seems to be the holygrail, but no matter the keywords, my videos don't get found. Will keep working but it's mentally discouraging after spending hours on a video

3000 public hours are still quite a few! It takes forever for small channels to get this many watch hours. I have over 1K subscribers, but God only knows when I'll have those 3000 hours. And I'm not holding my breath for the 4000 hours. This has been promoted falsely as well. People are reporting that creators can get ad revenue after 3000 hours, not 4000 hours. Thanks for the clarification 👍.

for me i got me a monetized youtube channel with over 20k from viral npc marketplace (it is now 30K) and im now earning like an old youtuber haha. Hope that everyone becomes successful!

What she's describing is the law of attraction, you envision your desired outcome & the universe figures out the how. The middle part always comes on its own , and when you don't force it, it just flows❤ And she's also dead on because you're supposed to connect to the world from your inner child. I love how she's figured that out without even realizing she did that. The way to chase your passions and create abundance in any form in this third dimensional world is to connect with your inner child which is your higher self your spiritual self because you knew what you wanted back then before parents and culture and society and education programmed it out of you😊 When you release attachment to outcome, as she's doing, which is not focusing on the end result focus on the fun and what you're going to learn and the journey.... money, which is a vibrational frequency, can flow in because you're not telling yourself it can't happen, there's no room for doubt or lack or limitation beLIEfs that we all got programmed with. There has always been enough and they're always is enough. Just as each person who has always been enough but we get programmed to believe we are not. Anytime you compare yourself to another you are stealing your own joy. We must become what we seek, for example if we desire a relationship we must create a healthy one with ourselves first and foremost, and make that a priority.... and then release and surrender and go chase your passions, that relationship shows up❤

That opens up huge opportunities for the community and will motivate more people to grow, good luck to all the grinders in chat!

Every channel gets ad but not the revenue until 4000 Watch hours

Just Monitized one of my channels today 😅, and am only 37 more subs to unlock ads monitization 😊

This is what happened with the community tab for me, on my first channel when you needed to get 1000 subscribers for the community tab about one or two weeks later they gave it away for free. Love the exact same thing, but I have ad revenue now and they’re just making it easier.

They should honestly raise the requirements for ads. Lower everything else.

Truth is that the fan funding can make more money than the ad sharing program, especially depending on what niche you're in. I know a dude who regularly clears close to a grand every time he does a live with superchat. He would never make that with the partnership program.

Watch hours will always be the roadblock that most will struggle to hit. My channel monitization was revoked as soon as 1 year passed with under 4k watch hours. So good luck keeping it after you earn it.

I know the gain in ads is different in each niche, but in general the donations option is better than the ads, so I prefer to start with this new option.

I guess I just need to await the email?

I've checked mine. And it still says I need 1000 subs, no new monetization options on my studio or nothing. I'm not at 500 subs yet anyways .. but I'm closing in just passed 350 Edit : 978 subs now 😀

That's pretty neat, I like that they added an intermediate stage in between, like Twitch and their Twitch Affiliates. Then again, I'm not sure why they made fanfunding options available to people with...less fans.

the watch hours seems impossible with how far the gap is but we got 1,000 already so I'm sure 4,000 is achievable. just got to keep at it and produce more stuff I know that's worked.

Ad revenue sucks right now anyways so if you're aiming for that...you're not missing much. You're better off aiming for super chat, super stickers or memberships. Even then, YT takes a hefty cut. Almost isn't worth it. Make content for fun, not for money.

But this is the disadvantage. Monetizing your channel at 500 subs just gives you options like super chat, stickers, thanks etc. You still won't get any ad revenue. Even though they have reduced the criteria to 500 subs, your ad revenue will still start from 1k subs and 4k watch hours

I hope by lowering the entry barrier as far as subscribers goes, but upping the quality and consistency requirements encourages more human video creators and discourages the need for bots on people's accounts.
