So they mostly moved to Quebec where it's lots cheaper (due to huge Hydro power build decades ago) or some US States. Also with so much wind and solar, the grid was unstable and they'd get asked to lower their consumption, sometimes for days, which means highly inefficient factories. Can't run a business not knowing if the power will be on or off in the next few days.

I'm not big on conspiratorial stuff but this happened 5 times, 3 were replies, the recipient said they got the notifications for them but the comments weren't in the feed. Edit: okay this comment didn't get deleted. There might be certain words or phrases deemed as misinformation or racist. Mentioning certain races and movements while talking in defense of my country's tiny police force isn't allowed apparently. There was nothing remotely racist in my comment, just pointing out how absurd and pointless the protests were here given they make up 0.3% of our population, none of which have had their lives ended by the police here. Ironic that the only way I think I'm allowed refer to them is "those people" now. For the record my mother is brown, not that it gives me a free pass to say whatever I want but it would be counter productive for me to be racist, I can't share the original comment without it being deleted but aside from saying the protests were dumb it was totally clean.
