This is why I never buy anything online unless I see actual reviews(not bots) with pictures and go through at l east 3 different websites. I have been scammed before due to an ex-friend and never again I'm gonna go through that experience again. Nonetheless, if a youtuber promotes something in their channel, there's a 95% of the time that their products are fake/faulty or not as advertised. If a product needs to be sponsored HEAVILY, then it is more likely to be a scam(excluding brands, they are just expensive).

Established titles is negligible compared to how much of a scam Kamikoto Knives also mentioned to be run by the same company is. They sell what is a $5-10 knife for hundreds of $$$ using marketing like "Japanese steels" etc
@bryanmiranda1745
@bryanmiranda1745 Жыл бұрын
@@xXSinForLifeXx I don't really agree. I think most people would rather spend $50+ on what is essentially a gag to begin with even without it being a scam as opposed to $400+ for a knife scam. $400+ knives aren't the issue, the issue is what's delivered, there are many knives in the premium knife market that individually sell for $400 + but they're usually made of extremely durable steels like Bohler M390 or Crucibles S90V to name a few, while kamikoto's knives are made from 420J2 steel. To put it into perspective, a $15 gas station knife with a wacky design is made commonly from dogshit Chinese 440C steel, but even 440C is a huge upgrade from how cheap and soft 420J2 is. I would rather pay $50+ for the gag of calling myself a lord, than pay $400-800 and expect $400-800 in quality knives but recieved something worse than a $20 knife set from walmart

To shed some light on the knives bit. I'm training to be a welder at school and we just talked about how metallurgy works. Specifically in steel. So in order to make steel you need to have carbon in iron. In order to control the amount of carbon you have in the steel so it's not too brittle or just having more carbon then there are iron molecules for them to bond to and you get shitty cast iron, you need to get it hot enough so you get pure iron. But those ovens didn't exist back in the days where steel started to overtake copper in viability. So how did the control the amount of carbon in the blade to make it weapons grade steel? Simple. You brought the carbon to the surface by hammering in and folding it a random amount of times, wrote down how many times you folded it and if it was good steel for a blade and did it again with more or less folds. Now how did they make steel in Japan? In order to get the metal they cooked sand from the beach and then found the dark glass that had higher amounts of iron and then cooked those down. This made _HORRIBLE_ steel. It was _garbage_ The reason Damascus steel is so impressive is not because it makes stronger steel. It's because the amount of dedication and craftsmanship it takes to turn that level of shit iron into steel by folding it hundreds of times to get an adequate level of carbon to the surface to make a viable sword is impressive. Not because the result is better then other steels.

@Annie Nunyabiz yea, it had a similar hook to gambling. I only ever went on the sites to look around but never acted on anything. Not to mention, if I remember correctly, usually if those items weren't sold for "enough" the timer would reset, over and over again. So even if you had the highest bid once the timer ran out, if the total wasn't above some invisible reserve I suppose they would just keep resetting it until the total crossed that threshold.

All these fly-by-night businesses are scammy and they don't hide it. BetterHelp came off as a scam. Kamikoto came off as a scam -- I know a lot of knife companies, weird how this legendary Japanese knifemaker came out of nowhere to sell extremely expensive knives. These are on the level of Cutco knifes that rely on "direct marketing" schemes or the outrageously expensive Kirby vacuum cleaners that are so good the company had to rely on Multi-Level Marketing aka a pyramid scheme to sell them. Established Titles is one of those ad pitches that reeks of BS right off the bat -- oh right, the Scottish government is just letting some new startup sell the country 1 sq ft at a time to foreigners and allowing them to get the title of Lord or Lady. We are to assume that Scotland is fine with tens of thousands of foreigners being named Scottish Lords and Ladies because they bought a tiny chunk of land. And the lady on the Deal Dash commercials is winning thousands of dollars in products by just bid a buck or two each. Ads for scams will always exist because a sucker is born every minute.

4:30 About why is this even a law: Imagine you're a company that builds some form of infrastructure, like electrical cables. In 10, 20 or 30 years some city starts developing near the plot of land that has 50 different owners for each square foot. You need to lay down 5 meters of cable, crossing said plot. Suddenly a simple job for which the paperwork would be handled in like a month becomes a job that will take years, because you need to contact and receive a written agreement from every single owner under whose land your cable would be passing. This effectively means that a plot of land will become completely useless and the city will be never able to develop it in any way, shape or form.

I would guess the reverend doctor title may have come from the same place where I was ordained as a minister myself, the "Universal Life Church". It was a popular wat to get a title that would allow you to perform a wedding (after registering with your state or whatever method is required where you live) They are still around, and seem to be more legit than this "Lords and Ladies" scam.

Yeah I remember watching something about the Kamikoto knives and they were showing that yes they are very sharp but after cutting a few things they lose their edge really fast and so need to be resharpened all the time. They tested them just cutting single pages of paper and they lost their edge almost immediately and the other just plain high quality knives don't.

I came from a family of farmers who owned land. My mother works as an administrative officer in our local government's land assessment office. It took close to 20 years to divide and tranfer land ownership from my great grandfather to my grandmother and her siblings. It took around 10 years for my mother and her siblings to divide and transfer land title from my grandmother to them. The transfer process took around 3 months. 2 months to process all the papers and 4 weeks to post the transfer to the local paper. And she had to take a leave from work since she's one of the officers in the department that process and asses land.

Kamikoto knives are also complete scams. They're worse than a $10 knife from Wal-Mart yet they cost over $100. The Japanese steel line alone is enough to tell anybody who knows litterly ANYTHING about knives and blade steel that they're complete shit. Who gives 2 fucks where the steel is from, I can make steel in my basement but it doesn't make it worth a fuck. And saying it's made the same way Japanese swords were made 1k years ago is NOT anything good, metallurgy has advanced a thousand years since then, nobody wants a modern blade made in the same way they did back then. Ppl didn't have any idea what was actually in the materiel back then and it made for steel full of impurities. In tests their knives dull with a single slice of a tomato, even a bargain bin knife lasts longer than that. At least it comes with a decent sharpener cause you'll definitely need it if you wanna use it more than once. But most ppl also don't know how to correctly sharpen a knife, it takes LOTS of practice. But that just shows they know just how bad their knives really are.

On dealdash assuming each bid increases it by $0.01 then if an item sells fo $1, $49.50 dollars have been bid. If it sells for two dollars then it is $199, or three dollars is $448. If it is ten dollars then it is $4995. So you can see how much of a scam it is, the company makes tons of money even if only 99 bids are made they get $49.50 and people will sit there spamming bids and ultimately losing lots of money without realising.

Actually Hong Kong has one of the world's most stringent and vetted business laws in the world. The biggest financing and investing companies from the US and UK put billions of dollars into filtering and vetting their business through Hong Kong. In terms of business laws around the world, there really isn't anything they're doing that is unlawful with the exception of false advertisement through charity donation vs actual planting of trees and the supplying your own auction. The rest is shady but just because you've been tricked by them doesn't mean they broke any laws. Business laws exist not to make sure nobody loses but to establish standards. Unfortunately it's often the standard that one profits through another's loss.
