KZfaq seems to be more concerned about "bullying and harassment" instead of dealing with actual abuse and exploitation.

I had a dog rescue channel removed a couple years ago. I reported them a bunch of times and finally had someone from YT reach out to me for more info. The channel focused on puppy rescues. The channel owners were in India and weren't all that bright because they used what was obviously the same puppies in rescue videos multiple times. I hope those puppies ended up in good homes

This really hurts, just watching the animals go through torture. Even if youtube bans them, that doesn't they're going to stop, after all, they have other platforms to post on. :(

BTW live feeding isn't insanely common in the reptile industry, it is usually frowned upon. there are a few times were it is acceptable like during breeding seasons for snakes, as well as to get snakes that are on "strike" (meaning they take a break from eating food for awhile) to eat.

This is also a raging problem for functioning small farms like ours. Big KZfaqrs move into a space, make fake content, and absorb all the ad revenue from people who should have a fairer playing field to compete for it on.

These horrendous people need to be stopped. No animal should have to suffer. Especially for human entertainment.

This was...hard to watch and listen to. I refuse to call these monsters "people" because that would imply they had any sort of sense of right and wrong. I interact with dogs fairly regularly as part of my job, and to learn about this makes my blood boil. I just wanted to say thanks for shining a light on this. The truth is more important than the almighty dollar and view.

Well, I've seen people who put dirty clothes on their children, deliberately stain their children's faces with some dirt, and use them as properties to beg some money on the streets. Some kids were even used when they seem to have runny nose. If people can do this much to their own flesh and blood, doing something like this to animals is not very surprising

As an animal rescuer, this is absolutely hearbreaking. I hope the authorities are doing something to stop these. Those animals deserves help. 😢 I'm losing faith in humanity. I don't understand how some 'people' can do this.

The video about the Guinea pig being abused genuinely made me start crying, Guinea pigs are my favorite animal and knowing that they only want to be loved and hearing the screams is horrible.

These people are disgusting. It’s a shame that some people are so desperate that they potentially kill animals for views. It’s ridiculous. It’s also ridiculous that KZfaq isn’t doing anything about it, and instead they’re punishing the people who expose them

There’s channels that say “don’t go hating on people in this video.” But these people deserve a lot a hate. They deserve a lifetime in jail. I know people would think it’s not that bad. But, what do you think would happen if you tortured multiple humans multiple times? Exactly. Humans are no different from animals, they both have lives. They deserve a long time in jail. Another thing, the live feedings. Even though this does happen naturally, it doesn’t have to. But the people forcing them into places to be killed in one of the worst ways possible is horrible. I have no sympathy at all for these content creators.

What's more astounding is that it is given that fact that state censorship is very rampant in those locations, either by troll farms or silencing any criticism against them.

Thank you! These have really bothered me, especially the turtle rescues. I know nothing about turtles, but I could tell this was fake, and the amount of views, subscribers, and people praising these people was just insane. I made a video about it, but I only have a bit over 200 subs. Luckily, Dantheturtleman had done a video around the same time, which helped a lot, and the big channels shut down for a bit. I am so glad you covered the live feeding videos, I have been trying to do something on that, but these videos are defended by more people because they are more about "nature" which I highly contest. Just like the Guinea Pig video, if it is the same one I am thinking of, it was a "Challenge request" to see if it COU:LD be eaten. It took 15+ minutes for it to be killed, and in the end, it was NOT eaten because it was too big. If you read the comments on these videos, people put in requests, which is turning this into a literal sport.

This is heartbreaking honestly, glad we have people like you, Sunny, Nick, and Nexpo to expose these monsters. Hopefully you get 100k soon, you deserve it.

The live feeding part where you played the audio was actually disturbing and sickening... it pisses me off that those people get off scott free whilst real content creators trying to pursue their hobby / career get punished.

There's little on social media that pisses me off more and I've been trying for some time myself to use my Facebook to try and create awareness of this sickening trend. People are easily fooled unfortunately, and the comments sections of these types of videos are mostly praises for what heroes they believe these people are. There are a lot of different types of these irresponsible and cruel videos and I'm trying to learn how to do my part on shedding a light on it.

More related to the last part: There are pet monkey channels that several people kept reporting on Yt. They come up with new channels. Many of them dress the monkeys and keep feeding and bathing them in front of the camera. The monkey channels are called "Lovely Lucy and Popo", "Saka.I.s. Animals", "Berkah monpai", "The Judy Family" and so on. They learned not to beat the monkeys on tape anymore but it still feels off. Often the titles emphasize on how the monkeys obey and wait till it is their turn and that the trainers are loving them. It is less violent now but still bizarre. The more dangerous ones are about the monkey babies.

I commented about this on the last Internet Anarchist video but it is much more relevant here: If anyone is interested in a real animal rescue channel I highly recommend Hope for Paws. They are a registered 501 nonprofit based in Los Angeles and record their rescues as a means of raising awareness/money. They have an official website with adoptable animals listed and are partnered with several other organizations. I'm not affiliated with them but I would like people to know that at least one animal rescue channel is run by actual animal rehabilitators.

I just have to say, thank you for making subtitles to this video. I am deaf and although you can generally turn CC on, on KZfaq videos, most of the time they aren't very accurate and it can be easy to become confused (although it has gotten a lot better). That would be awesome if you could do that with all your videos but I totally get how it would be tedious and time consuming.

Jfc. I'm a victim of child abuse and public gaslighting and the typical Autism Mom thing of treating me like such a burden to put up with*(details of abuse below). I thought the trend of family vlogging/"meltdown" videos (yeah I've been there and i know exactly what kind of things those poor "trying my best in such a stressful situation uwu inspo Autism Mom's" are actually doing behind the scenes due to personal experience and that of others I've connected with in adulthood. Come on my mom would even record beatings to show family and friends and to shame me for being so "out of control" and "forcing her hand" and "screaming bloody murder over absolutely nothing but normal parenting". You know a slightly less public version of those "meltdown" videos) were supremely cruel and the absolute worst genre of KZfaq to ever be created. But i guess i was somehow wrong. And let's just hope it ends at this kind of stuff and not the kind of stuff I'd hope you'd at least need the dark web to gain any access to. It's bad enough that KZfaqrs *influence* things like drag bans, book burnings, trump being elected, and mass shootings/domestic terrorist attacks. It'd be. Probably too much for me if out and out sadism or clearly illegal abusive actions were actually incentised. Especially when call outs and information about such content is actively suppressed. Just way way too gross feeling. But at least these are still kinda framed in a plausible deniability way so i couldn't exactly blame the system for not seeing it as just a popular trend that gets a lot of hate (like furries or jk Rowling or any kind of public figure or thing teen girls, queers, or autistic people like or something idk). So it's not quite as depressing as it could be. *for having sensitivities related to traumas, i was typically labeled as "difficult" even got an ODD diagnosis and had cops recommend prone restraints when spanking. Mind you starting at age 11 and not really ending until i was ,15 and I guess the period made it gross. Btw was first molested when I was 9 so there's that. (Traumas like having bones broken as part of "discipline" that was "your own fault anyway for not just standing still and taking it" and how I'm a spoiled crybaby that thinks I'm "too good" for "parenting " and "just want my parents to be friends". Because i asked that they just explain things to me and talk to me in general and help me understand rather than just punishing me and have it cure me of being a "smartass" or "disrespectful ". Not at all an uncommon autistic experience. A lot of our worst childhood "meltdowns" our parents would milk sympathy over occurred due to a combination of a pre existing trauma being triggered, and over stimulation/being pushed to rapid action in a transition without a period of rest first. Eg doing homework and/or chores before taking a nap or watching TV, playing etc. A lot of our parents knew exactly what was going on but chose to keep punishing (or at best "withholdings privileges/affection") us to make us conform to their preferred schedule rather than having our needs being met in anything resembling an ethical fashion. It's kinda what ABA promotes. My mom's a teacher and her sister is a psychologist and they were in college at the time so were really eager to rest out their newly acquired methods on me and see the success in real time for themselves as their professions paid off launching me into a successful career as a marine biologist or at least a surgeon paving the way for women in STEM once they "fix" everything they saw as holding me back. Hahahahah have i mentioned I'm estranged from them? Dropped out of college after a semester and a half and moved halfway across the state rather than give my mom the student loan money she was demanding to pay off her existing debts (with no assurance she'd ever pay me back). And i embraced the fact that I'm an artist and habe hated stem since at least i was 10 and conceived of a scheme to get all my math creds out of the way by 10th grade so I'd have at least 3 years to explore the things I want to learn and not have to worry about math. I was enrolled in an online stem charter school that required a math credit every year lol. It's called astec btw and it sucks. Causey mom really wanted to hone in on my "skills". I failed 3 years in a row and had to transfer to a public school for a semester to get a remedial math credit to make up for it. Also I realized I was non binary when I was like 13, but nobody would ever acknowledge it except to laugh at my dad because he's a conservative and hates queer people and they think it's so funny how much he hates everything about me after molesting me. Now i have lots of mental illness, poverty, and distrust/hatred of authority/figures and the cult of "parental rights". They also think they're good liberals and the most progressive people to ever exist. But I'm from rural Oklahoma so, basically I'm changing my name to Orel and also became the local satanic minister passing out pamphlets to describe how child spanking is indeed a form of CSA that is all too often condoned by the Christian Church. Which is itself well known for enabling pedophiles at the highest levels and within private families that belong to their churches. Not just the Catholics either. Mormons, Amish, baptist. All well known incest enablers.) Btw, I know the satanic temple is sadly a scam. I'm free-range. I didn't even really trust organized religion enough to feel I ever truly joined the temple back when i did closely associate with it (lmao felt like the batman of the satanic league). I just liked a lot of the same stated values and chose to follow my own path from there, with acknowledgement on it being advantageous to pair up on major projects relating to freedom of religion and the rights of children and the like. They are pro eugenics and anti antifa/pro fascist. So there's more diverging values there too. But i am more opposed to the fundamental principles of Christianity and its influence over private and public life and the worsening of abuse victims experiences, than I am with the temple and its overall public influence. At least, in the states. I'm not surprised by the higher ups/those in authority being corrupt and generally terrible people. But I am disappointed. And can't in good conscious associate with them.

People glueing decor onto turtles sensitive shells then cutting it off and placing cute kittens underneath piles of rubble just to rip them out all for views. You’ve barely scratched the surface of the live feeding videos. I have a hunch a lot of those channels are akin to the infamous “The Reptile Channel” which got exposed by reptile-keeping communities on KZfaq for being a channel that posts live feeding content for a very… specific audience.

There's one channel I saw called FTCmeow that does kitten rescue. I've been getting the feeling they stage a lot of their rescues. Like people leave notes with the kittens in perfect English or US money despite the vet being in Cambodia. The kittens always look drugged and dirtied up for the camera. And miracoulsy fine 2 days later. Things just don't add up with them.

If you want a genuine rescue channel that educates while working to rescue vulnerable baby animals, watch Kitten Lady!! She mostly rescues kittens but she’s also rescued pigs, ducks, a goat, and a litter of puppies!! It is all real, she’s a professional and is often in touch with vets :)

I've seen this trend a good while ago. Especialy on videos made in India or Philipines. I was suprised that people did not seen that all these rescues was staged. Many times there was account number under video to "help people who help animals"

I am a volunteer for TCR Toronto cat rescue and these things make me sad and scared for those animals

Yup. I always found it amazing how some of these channels manage to find dogs in tar pits like 3 times a week, and nearly every comment thinks they're really helping them.

I also recommend taking care with channels where parents are filming their children with a camera, often skimpily dressed. It is known who is watching this, and it is disgusting from the side of the parents. This is the most ordinary child abuse and KZfaq is promoting it.

Ah yes, my daily dosage of content to further lose hope in humanity. To say that I am utterly disgusted for the way people do whatever it takes to generate content, revenue, and attention is an understatement…
