The anime GeGeGe no Kitaro has been absolutely SAVAGE when it comes to social commentary on KZfaq and internet culture. But this one absolutely broke me. Through a yokai with an identity crisis, this anime broke down some of the biggest issues we KZfaqrs face.

I love that Anime, because it deals with so many difficult questions and situations society, politics and sometimes even family itself wishes to shove off the table, never to be seen again. I actually watched some of the episodes together with my sister, who suffers from depression and axiety. She has been crying on multiple occasions, telling me that she can relate with so many of the characters and their worries.

Just as Yōkai were once used to explain natural phenomena, Yōkai are now explaining social commentary and reality hitting truths. This is why I love these critters. They are much more than old tales to explain why the creaks at night or unexplained house fires. They look at the human condition and make us look at ourselves. I am loving this series Gaijin! Keep up the good work my dude!

Little G explaining the nuke-kubi brought back memories of reading a story about FIVE such creatures as a young teen. A mix of three males and two females, a young man was taken in by (what he assumed to be) locals of the mountain region he was traveling in. After the house was supposedly asleep, he heard whispering outside his room. Fright of frightful sights as he hid in a bush and saw the decapitated, floating heads of his hosts, plotting to exsanguinate him while he slept. Knowing what to do next, he hid the bodies in some bracken in the surrounding woods, preventing the nuke-kubi from rising to kill again as the dawn broke. Hooray for the Hellboy shoutout! It's my favorite comic series!

I'm also a bit curious why in Japan the manga and anime have a much easier time getting away with naming characters and stands after musicians/bands but yet in North America the risk of trademark lawsuits means most localized versions of Jojo have to rely on altered names (like "King Crimson" becomes "Emperor Crimson" and in some Jojo media Polnareff had his name changed to "Jean Pierre Eiffel" because Polnareff is the name of a French musician). Like if we were talking China I'd get it because China is a country so lax on copyright law that bootlegs run rampant, but Japan not so much, hell some Japanese companies are infamous for being maybe a bit overprotective (like Nintendo was with KZfaq up until late 2018).

But the line "doing something stupid to garner attention" doesn't fit since he wasn't trying to pull a Paul-brother type stunt, and certainly doesn't need to kowtow for attention (the channel is doing fine and he even has a TV show). Lucid The Puppeteer Difference is, Steve Irwin was a wildlife conservationist who owned and ran a zoo. He's wrangled gators since he was a teen. Coyote Peterson is an actor by trade, and as far as I'm aware has no background or training in wildlife beyond whats necessary for the show. I mean no disrespect, his willingness to put himself out there like that and spreading awareness is very commendable, but I don't think its too hard to understand why people celebrate Steve but think Coyote's reasons lean more towards the thrill/entertainment side of things.

I think this lesson can be for anyone. For a long time I struggled to find my passion. I've been switching from major to major trying to chase passions that ultimately didn't make me happy and I didn't like doing. Eventually after learning to be a dungeon master and writing my own homebrew it all circled back to what I originally wanted to do. Writing. But i let other things i LIKED to do get in the way and choose my major. I finally got a small job with my cousin's local gaming journalism website and I LOVE it. And I love writing homebrew. I just love to WRITE no matter the subject as long as I have passion for it. It's not just KZfaq. It takes time. You'll struggle and think you want to make your passing fad into a career but eventually it fades out and in time you'll find what you really LOVE to do. I wanted to cry with this episode you made because school and college has made very indecisive of what I want to do and even though I love writing I still am trying to figure out what career I want in writing. So y'all go watch this episode because this can apply to all of us. I'm behind and haven't reached this episode but when I get internet back I look forward to this. That quote at 12:36 I can relate to I started game at around five years with some classics like doom, and soon I just became a great gamer and soon once I hit college I stopped and felt empty, and soon once I got back into video games I realised I love video games I didn't know it but when I was older I found out I love video games, this quote hits me right in the feels, and I hope this quote say's something for you to.

Loving this series thus far. I was wondering if you would consider taking about Sarazanmai as a look at kappa or just a general video if you find something else in the series. Would love to see someone else talk about it.

That is one reason I love your channel. I can tell you love what you do. I love mythology and you do. Find it cool how a cultures monsters are so similar but different at the same time and how they change through time and author. When I watch your videos I feel like I am getting to geek out with another mythology nerd.

I love this anime and it was thanks to this channel I picked it up. For your Yokai watch will by chance be doing anything for October similar to the style of a night of 100 demons in telling some yokai myths or spooky stories?

I'm textless at what I just watched... Gaijin you've given me a lot to think on. Due to what happens, and is happening around me in my life right now. I do not know if what you've shown me was meant for me, or for me to help someone else in my life with as others in my life are also going through some hard times, and I hope I will be able to help them better thanks to you. Please keep doing what you love it is inspiring. From my life to yours, Thank you.

One addition to that sage advice that I learned in my own life. "Pay attention to the little thing because what you love to do might not be what you planned to do.". I work as a calibration technician calibrating test equipment. And I love it. I went to school for computer repair, the school had electronics attached. I fell in love with electronics and I calibrate electronic equipment among other things.
