100% agree about Peterson...out of 1200 St Patricks Day pipes world wide I think they produced like 12 smooth designs!!!

3P's is a solid blend. I think I have about 3 older Peterson pipes ... love them ! As for Savinelli .... I don't care for the looks of them but they smoke so great ! I have 2 or 3 of them and love the way they smoke. You are very lucky to have had a close relationship with your father. My father was very distant and withdrawn from us kids so we never really spent much time together.

I’m sorry Brian about your dad. Sadly in the end the last 5 years of my dads life he didn’t have much to do with me. He suffered from a stroke and didn’t want me around anymore

My dad died at 58. Hardest thing I’ve ever experienced. It’s good to honor them. Well done.

Hello Mike, I appreciate your look on the pipes. I've never had a peterson and just ordered my first sav. I also started with cigars I really enjoyed them until I tried pipe smoking and haven't looked back. I miss my dad everyday thanks for the great stories about your dad. Have a good day my friend

Enjoyed the chat as always Mike. I gave up on Peterson pipes. I've had to many issues to keep spending money on them. I don't smoke estate pipes so I can't get an old one. I got plenty of pipes anyway 🤣 That story had me laughing so hard I had tears! Have a great weekend.

Well, that’s still relatively young. I’ll be 60 in February. The older you get, the younger those “old” ages seem :)

Never looked that close, but as I prefer the heavy dark rustication, guess I probably won't. Only have 2, but they smoke great. Lately I have been reaching for my older Dr. Grabows. That must have been one powerful dog 🤣

@@oldmanthingspipes Nah man, got to call it like you see it. Never be sorry for speaking your mind. I know I do lol. I just never really look that closely on a factory pipe, just assume mass produced things will not be the same as an artisan pipe.

@@variablehobbyist who knows. I guess if you like them smoke them. I always really liked them til I bought the handmade pub for them. And noticed the filling marks. That’s what made me start to look at my others.
