This feels like a brand new card game to me, just have monsters and some basic based of OCG/TCG but with fresh coat of paint (Some even changed their effects to fit with the new game's rule). Also seems like it'd be much more dedication for the decks, you can't just have the Ace cards and have to commit investment for full power.

Yeah Konami doesn't make any sense....they went with Decode as the ace monster for the trailer but go with Firewall as the ace monster in the actual game 🤔🤨

funny thing is that in-game Firewall is stated to be his ace monster, seems to me that the production teams might have some miscommunication

Firewall feels more like a boss monster than an ace in the anime. Kinda like Slifer for Yugi or Odd-Eyes Rebellion for Yuuya.

In the anime Decode Talker was the only link monster Playmaker had a conection to, so it makes sense as an ace
