Yeah so because we added the face up def transform effects to be accelerated by fusing with Time Wizard, we put the Embryonic Beast one so that all of those effects work, even though it sucks. Also I'm surprised people react to the Hungry Burger one! It's 2 of the 3 materials written on the card, it's not any more hilarious than the base materials!

Embryonic Beast = Immature Demon in Japanese, while Ryu-Kishin = Gargoyle, so it also fits in the sense of 'generic lesser demon becomes generic stronger demon' (hence the original effect)

People had ideas such as Suggesting BEWD+Yamadron, but those two are just too powerful to make a practical solution. If I put a BEUD I would have made it two BEWDS and that kinda doesnt make sense. Also with Gate Guardian, I can't think of any fitting components other than 2 of the Gate Guardian pieces either, and it doesnt make sense to fusion summon that card with 2/3 of its traditional components

​​@@ClovissenpaiDotR hmm, what if someone added the actual two headed blue-eyes fusion to the game? Sure it would have no model (unless someone cut off one of ultimate dragons models heads). Or maybe just use regular blue eyes model for the fusion. It's atk is the same, as regular bewd, and double attacks aren't in dotr, so it would only exist as stepping stone for ultimate. Same for the two part gate guardian fusions we got. One could even make them self destruct when they are summoned, so they can only exist in the hand, while being fused.

First of all, the 'ritual spells being pointless' in redux is relative to the ritual spells already being useless and a terribly bad way to bring out monsters in vanilla. Now you can bring out the ritual monsters more effectively rather than wasting your own turns to bring those monsters out. Secondly, the GX monster thing is most likely never happening.

Well actually if you are using Swordstalker, you WANT to fuse because if you fuse 2 cards rather than dumping 2 cards, it makes a third card which gives extra damage. Optimally for a Swordstalker/Muka Muka deck you want to have as many fusions as possible to generate more cards in the graveyard. Also in the case of Swordstalker it doesn't fuse with much in the game - in fact I think apart from The Judgment Hand it doesn't actually fuse with anything in the base game. So if you dont include that in your deck, and just include a bunch of 1 star monsters such as females that all fuse with lots of other types, you can generate dozens of cards in the graveyard before playing a Swordstalker for lots of damage

@@ClovissenpaiDotR I think that you can also fuse Swordstalker into Punished Eagle, since that fusion is a winged beast with 1300+ attack + a warrior. But other than that and Judge Man (as you mentioned), he doesn't have any other fusions that I can think of

They're both listed in the ritual materials I believe! Felt like it made sense!

We wanted to make the Ritual Spells fuse into the monster to make the ritual monster, but it just simply didnt work and we couldnt find a simple way around it. Rituals overall in the game are absurdly weak even without these fusions - so these fusions were added as a more reliable way to bring out the fusion monsters people like. It also provides a convenient way to bring them out more often, including if you want to level it up as a deck leader now that you can obtain a copy. I'm also strongly under the belief that ritual spells and their corresponding monster summons are just a means to give the players extra content to complete their library, and dont really do anything else in the game because they're simply so much worse a summoning mechanic than fusion, or.. even just playing a monster out of the hand lol

its the easiest fusion to make in the game. fuse any thunder with a dragon that has 2000 attack or higher. i didnt change this

We thought about it but it was a lot of work to squeeze things in! To 'add' fusions we actually had to replace existing ones. So say if there were 20 machines that would fuse with Cannon Soldier to make Labyrinth Tank, we'd need 20 fusions to replace to put them in. We did the existing fusions by replacing fusions that shouldnt exist (broken fusions) with these ones, it took a lot of effort to manage

Hello, we didn't add this because there's a certain interaction with cards that aren't fusions already - if we added this fusion, and a player fusion summoned Bickuribox, the picture of Bickuribox wouldn't load (unless your deck contained a hard copy of Bickuribox, or the AI's deck did). So to avoid people seeing question marks when they fusion summon a monster, we made sure that we only added fusions of cards that are already a fusion/special summon condition (because the game preloads all the images for those cards)

But its okay because the game is super broken anyways ;)

Hey there, I know its a late reply but I just got back to these - The ritual monster fusions are added in as an easier means to summon them. The ritual mechanic in this game is terrible and outright worse than fusing and even playing a monster out of the hand, so this is to bring them out more. Initially we had the idea to have the ritual monster material fuse with the Ritual Spell itself to make the fusion - this would have been perfect, but it just didnt work out and we couldnt get it to work properly. Also, it doesn't really make summoning boss monsters the hard way 'pointless' any more so than it already was. For an example like Time Wizard accelerating the process of turn-based effect ticks, I think it incentivizes the player to obtain a copy of Time Wizard and use it as a steroid for certain decks, it's just an option. And also, I do personally believe that rituals are so trash even in vanilla that it is pointless to play any of them apart from the sake of completing your library - so players still have a reason to collect the ritual spells themselves. Ritual mechanic in this game is so awful and broken that these fusions were added so that players can bring out these really cool monsters without having to take 4 turns and burn 4 cards just to bring out a 2k attack monster or whatever. These were mostly to enable more deck building options - eg dark dragons have access to fusion summoning all these other high attack 7 star dragons like Red Eyes, why not allow them to play Serpent Night Dragon? Its a cool card and I like that people can play it easier, otherwise, you never want to play it because rituals are so awful.

I don't think they took out any of the fusions from the base game. They just added these new ones, and made certain fusions work that were errors before (such as Ancient Elf fusing into Lord of the Lamp instead of Dark Elf)

That was added in the most recent update of the mod.

@@Gleyveon Yeah it was added in 1.3, along with some other fixes for fusions. IIRC there was an issue with the Skull Guardian fusion that was resolved in one of the updates.

I seem to recall that in forbidden memories, Thunder Dragon could fuse with a thunder type monster to make Twin Headed Thunder Dragon. It also had the dragon component need to be 1600+ attack instead of 2000+, so other monsters also worked (including more that could potentially be used in place of a dragon, like how monsters like Sea King Dragon and Stone Dragon do in DotR)

Yes I forgot to add that one in the video, but as of 1.03 you can make THTD with two Thunder Dragons!
