Nice knife. I am looking for one and think it's coming for xmass this year.. I'm not sure if it will have the k tip or not. Looks like it went through those carrots like butter, and that is the real test of a knife!

It absolutely does glide through carrots. I love this knife so much I picked up the 270mm sg2 fujin for when I have larger amounts of prep I need to blast through. Good luck on your search.

I will say, over the last 20 years of buying, using, selling, and collecting… the two Kurosaki’s I have right now are by far the best cutters I have ever had. I will say however if the kurosaki you get is hollow ground, like my Shizuku is, it’ll be literally paper thin at the edge out of the box, and a bit on the fragile side. I could run my thumb nail down the edge and watch it flex when I first got it. I’ve only sharpened it a couple times and it’s still cutting like new, but the edge and just behind it is a bit more sturdy.

My new 270mm fujin is convex ground. Not sure if it’s a new from now on Kurosaki thing but it suits the more workhorse size and shape of the knife
