Gao hui and mother are both delusional and shameless without integrity and dignity....They can't accept being told that they are not the best in anything that they do or create and when they are critized or on the losing ends they will cheat, steal, lie, manupilate scheme, etc. They're not even scared of committing crimes...they must win at all costs. But now that Rui Hua is bought over by fansi, gao hui has no yu yi to help her cover all the mistakes made by her....also mother cannot interfere in the company because the GM is Mu Ziyun who can be just as ruthless and vengeful as mother and daughter to seek justice for Gao Jie, Pan Yue and grandpa Pan. They're her family. The mother and daughter never think long term. All they want at the moment they must get by all means. They never look at themselves in the mirror and also never think about the consequences of their evil actions and also don't have any remorse in their souls. Whereas Mu Ziyun has goodness in her heart to protect those she loves and are family to her. She only takes revenge on those who harm her and family. But she is grateful and appreciative to those who help her....that's my take on all the characters in the series...the good, the bad, and the ugly...

Not wrong at all. Just living in this reality not drama reality.

All the hate he has toward the aunt should not only be directed at her. She is not innocent by any means, but it was not all her fault. This comes out a little later in the series. Also, how he humilated Gao Jie is not okay, even if he was upset. He should have investigaed everything, but chose to believe other people instead of talking to her, then flirt with the one person that Gao Jie is most insecure about, that was not okay either. Of course this is my opinion.

My blood boils how Gao Jie was made to be the whipping boy for anything that went wrong. Personally she should have been hired to work directly in the custom team to avoid Princess Hui Hui and she could have been sent to gather gems. Dear Lord, this lady is a certified gemologist and geologist. They couldn't find a use for those skills? At least there would have been less conflict and she could have spent more time with the elders learning their trades. Of course they gotta make the FL a damsel in distress but damn folks, why not tie her to some railroad tracks or put her in a traffic or plane accident if you want drama? She really didn't need to be dropped kicked to the gutter by Mr. Trust Me. Her gramps must be rolling in his grave as bf promised him he'd take care of them. I wouldn't trust him with a goldfish. Sheesh!

As for the Aunt... my primary disgust for her was her absolute willingness to destroy her surrogate child for her unjustified vengeance. It would have been bad enough doing it once, but she kept at it. The fact that his own family made him suffer for crap that literally had nothing to do with him is a whole other repugnant matter. Them making a child carry the repercussions for a grown-ass man's mistakes instead of making him take responsibility for his own actions is some vile, cowardly, shameful, enabling horseshit. Her doing it to her own grandson just makes it more revolting.

@@jenniferhuff4895 I agree with you. The aunt is not fully responsible. She was caught in the middle and so was Yu Zhi...the real culprit is the husband/father Guanghua..he's irresponsible. But grandma Lin has to take some blame too. She knew but just kept quiet about the whole incident which led to Yu Zhi being sent abroad at such a tender age and making Mu Ziyun the scapegoat. It's a blessing in disguise for YuZhi.....Mu Ziyun helped save the company from going bust while the only son of the Yu family played around ..grandma Lin knew all of these happenings and yet kept quiet. Yu yi also was lurking in the background to try to take control as he's the only other yu member working in the company apart from grandma Lin until Yu Zhi came back from overseas threatening yu yi's ambition...to me the Yu family is not a very nice family to be in. Mu Ziyun is considered an outsider as she's a daughter-in-law.....yu yi knew this and he instigated Yu Zhi (when he came back) against Ziyun....

There is nothing innocent about Gao Hui and her mother is a plagiarizer. They are a totally foul pair. I really don't like the aunt, but I love it when she comes down on Gao Hui hard.

But Mu Ziyun handled her well...whether you like Mu Ziyun or not you'll understand why she did what she did....she did it just like a mother would do if your daughter had fallen I love with a man from a family that you know is not good to be in....

@@jennylaw6820 I agree with you. Being involved with that family was a tough situation for anyone, and she knows first hand from her own marriage. I think she did want to protect Gao jie and her Mom from the various scummy types ...she saw the way Yu Zhi treated her niece/daughter and who would want a beloved daughter to be on the receiving end of that type of behaviour. I didn't always like her but I could understand most of why she did what she did.
