cause atem left him with his title, kaiba at first only saw yugi simply as the pharohs vessel and didnt think much but as there duel progressed you saw kaiba smirk indicating he changed his thoughts on yugi

​@@devantemungin7060Kaiba didn't almost win, his face down card was polymerization, which he drew at the start but never played. He set it down as a bluff but it would do nothing against Final Geas. No cards in hand, in grave, nor on field. Kaiba would've lost.

Some zero attack monsters tend to have very powerful effects.

@@ARCEUS493ZELDA Here the thing. If skill drain was already active. Before chaos max dragon was summoned Chaos max dragon effect is negated. Even black skull arch fiend dragon if it’s attack is boosted higher chaos max . Black skull effect while it attacks prevents other effects from activating. It depends how the game is going how the players uses the cards. There are ways to get around those negate effects with other. Cards that also negate effect. Some are battle specific or only apply to the card itself so they by pass even chaos max dragon effect. Personaly I don’t like using decks that uses copies or repeats of the same card. It makes the game to easy for me. I enjoy wrapping my brain to get around those chain effects. It’s frustrating but satisfying when you score a win. There is a card called mirror dragon. It copies the attack of the attacking monster during battle. Since the card applies to mirror dragon. It’s a good counter for obelisk . Since the effect is not targeting the god card.

Well it is because KONAMI designers have a dragon fetish. And we all do also have it, too.

No target destruction; effect damage; atk boost and can make an attack... all in the same turn. Gandora X is broken and deserves this ban

You can put 8k attack monster on the field turn 1, use Gandora-X's effect and immediately kill your opponent. By itself Gandora X is terrible.

@@kindlingking the movie had it burning 4000 for destroying deep-eyes, obviously not original attack, and anime version's effect is actuallt OPT not when summoned.

@@klockenberg2299 we aren't talking about anime effect tho. The question was: "why is Gandora X banned in the OCG?". And the answer is because of its FTK potential. Otherwise it's a pretty bad card, as it's "fixed" TCG version sees no play whatsoever.

How's that any better than chaos emperor? Special summon via banishing two cards in your GY and for paying only a 1000 LP it wipes the board AND the hands of both players and deals 300 DMG for each one, it's objectively better in every category
