I hope another one like that one can be released, only with the field zone slot added in and with holographic projection when a card is being played on either side of the field, just like in the show

I was honestly surprised when I noticed it did not have the field slot, like its a small feature but still make a difference. Thanks for the comment

Some differences from the original: Good changes: -Lights are brighter -Colors are more accurate -Uses solid plastic instead of swirly plastic, so it shouldnt decay over time. -Cards fit more loosely. This lowers the risk of damaging them, although it also means they'll slide off when you move. -The wrist piece is bigger. The handle kind of digs into your palm, but your wrist feels better Bad changes: -Flimsier plastic -Thinner "blade" -Doesn't stay locked in standby mode. The gears also tend to get stuck. Probably a mix of mold degredation and shoddy materials/engineering. -The graveyard is smaller and the cover just flops instead of clicking into place. -The mechanism has been simplified. On the mattel version, both blades moved, paused for a second, then snapped into position. The new version does it all in one rushed motion. -The field spell zone has been removed. -By far the worst change is the deck zone. The original version had a flap in the front with a flat joint that stayed in place. There was also a spring-loaded piece that kept the deck steady. The new one removed the stabilizer and added a new floppy door. Your deck slides out as soon as you lower your arm. Sleeves dont work on either one unfortunately. Interestingly, this works very well for speed duel. 20 card decks will stay in place and you can use the 2 extea monster zones for your field spell and skill card

the fact this does not have feild card zone part pisses me off. I would rather track down an original for collection

Yeah I agree. I thought it would have it. My original one from like 20 years ago did but nostalgia got me to buy it. It'll still look cool in the background or on my shelf. Thanks for the comment!

I had considered this but I may go for the older one that has the field spell slot. as I'm going to be testing the older one with sleeved cards.

Great idea! Honestly a good idea if you plan on actually using it. This is cool cause its 25th year edition but not good for much other than a prop on a shelf. The old one was very practical if I recall. Thanks for the comment!

Thats my only problem with this one. My original replica from many years ago could support both but this is more for display than anything.

I cried after recording this lol. Yeah my original one was better in every way other than it being lost and probably destroyed. Such a small things to leave out that makes a huge difference. Honestly though if they re released with sleeved cards slots and field id prob buy again

@AliyesDell I agree. Would also have helped if they included stickers for pendulum, the old duelist kingdom prototype kaiba used vs Yugi and Joey, and Dartz Duel Disk.

Theres a button on the bottom but its super loose and just by putting your hand towards the ground it'll automatically reset.

They came out shortly before this video was released. I honestly saw them on Amazon first and then after I purchased mine I saw it multiple times on twitter advertising for the 25th year anniversary releases.
