In the first hand you will lose to Droll if you summon Ponix first. A smart player won't usually shut down Ponix with Ash Blossom but will save it for Fire King Island. It only really stops Impermanence, though, but someone might hold off and hit Garunix with it, so I think it's smarter not to start with Ponix. Overall, the deck's weak spots are Ash on Fire King Island and Impermanence on Kerass with the Fraktall start. So you always gotta be ready for your opponent to pull these moves and adjust your strategy. Like I said before, Droll is a real pain in the ass for the deck since you do a lot of searching. Grab the most important card first, even if it means risking an Ash Blossom, especially in games 2 and 3. The deck can usually handle one Ash, but getting hit by Droll is a tough blow. I usually search Garunix first, if I can, or a Tri-Brigade card so I can at least end on Apollousa or the Ancient Warrior Link 2. As for Nibiru, it's not a big deal if you pay attention. Use Garunix (sending Barong) and summon Bearbrumm before you hit that fifth summon, so, even if Nibiru comes down, you still get to search for Kirin and Revolt. And we've got Arvata in the deck, adding an extra layer of defense. Sometimes, you can even set up Apollousa before hitting that fifth summon.

I absolutely love the Tri build, pre-release it was the first engine i was drawn to and i love it, the only Sinful stuff i run is 2 Original Spoils along with 1, One for One, Original has some nice synergy with the Tri monsters and Tenki, its nice. All that said, during testing i did decide to cut Apollousa completely from my build for now, in such a Talents/Thrust heavy format, the game is basically over if they Talent steal your Apollousa, its heart wrenching honestly...

Garunix destruction effect bypasses ash blossom since the card gets sent to grave by game mechanic rather than an effect (indirectly as oppose to directly ie. foolish burial)

I really wish the Tri-Brigade link 5 did not have the rule of needing 3 or more tri-brigade spells in the grave 🥹

The first combo is suboptimal. If you banish 4 and link away shuraig you get 2 extra bodies which results in either a 4 material apolousa or an additional link 2 on top of your 2 mat apo.

Super late but can i play decode talker heatsoul as my link 3 i also noticed that rugal is used and wasnt in the original deck list why is that?

I hate my life this deck seems fire but i only played despia before so i have 0 link monsters and little knight, apollousa, masquerena and underworld goddess cost so much (at least for me, a 16 yo student)
