I remember PC Version describing Teirs 8-10 as pure Gunboats with Torpedo Tubes being a secondary weapon designed to be used when engaging targets, similar to the Soviet Gunboats with Japanese Gunboat playstyle. To simplify it, think of it as this is an entire line of Delnys with Haragumo HE shells and Radar.

Nice review as I'm from the city of Split, which this ship had and where the building has started, even though I live far away now, it's nice to see pictures of the ship and I hope I'll be able to get it in the game

It's a tech tree ship, so once the line comes out, you'll just need to get through the EU tree to tier 8. I've unfortunately never been to Croatia, when I was still living in Europe, but maybe one day I'll get to explore that part of the world :)

@@FunandGameswithTerry I got a Stord T6 from the crate, which by the way has a nice history in WW2, I got the key by hitting 100 times with a torpedo as part of a mission, your work and videos helped a lot and I'm still learning... Split and Croatia are beautiful especially the sea side with many islands and also I hope to visit my hometown since I live in Brazil :)

Gun boat DD,s are usually my perfer type of DD, so I’m glad to see this new line is following this trend

Definitely gunboats. Those shells might only be HE, but they're hitting pretty hard, even at cruisers. Given the relatively short torpedo range, I usually find myself playing in visible range. The line reminds me of the USN DDs so far, but with better guns.

@@FunandGameswithTerry the USN DD,s have also felt like a middle ground between gunboat and torpedo boat, at least that’s how I feel. I love the US DD,s but these polish destroyers are really empathizing the guns over torps

Terry, is wargaming planning on putting these new destroyers in the tech tree eventually?

Yes. According to the Winter roadmap (wowsblitz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/15154715307026-Roadmap-Winter-2024), they're in early access in February, so usually a month or two later, they'll be out as regular, grindable tech-tree ships.

If you have Epic commander called Son of The Land this line will be bonkers to play. You get extra radar and misweaver+

It's going to be a branch on the Halland line (I think starting at tier 5)

This line is going to completely dumpster most existing DDs. 140mm that fires faster than other 130 or 128mms and torps faster that 80 knots. Basically all existing DDs just got a nerf.

7.2 km torpedo range still much better than Soviet DD with 4.5 km (before updates) and no smokes in T8 Yes they do have longer gun range and stronger but it was hardcore battle in T8/T9 where many monsters cruiser/CV lurking around 😂

For me split is great , heavy armor gun boat and caliber make this ship very danger For others, all line of this destroyers is better versions of french destroyers a special tiers 8 and 9 and 10.

Different style than the French. Fantasque / Terrible are long-range kiting boats, mostly, which rely entirely on speed. These things need to operate more close up (2km less gun range), and work with damage-over-time to get the numbers up. In return, smoke / radar plus fast torps makes them quite dangerous. I'm personally quite enjoying the style though, more my thing than the French overspecialisation.
