Love your little kitchen it’s so cute! The last story was my favorite. Every culture has a version of not several versions of it. It shows it pays off to be nice. Maybe not always with gold coins but in other ways. I’m a waitress/college student and when ever I can help out those in need even tho I’m struggling myself I do it.

I have heard or read the first story when I was preparing a presentation on Japanese folklore for ma Advanced Japanese class in undergrad. The ending I heard was that she killed her husband for breaking his promise to never tell. It reminded me of the Gargoyle story in the 1990 Tales from the Darkside: The Movie that I watched when I was a child.

Wow, three versions of 雪女! Very heart-warming and heart-aching at the same time. I have another version - A man let a woman into his house on a snowy night. He fed her and invited her to sit by irori. After a while, he offered a bath, but the woman declined. He got angry by the refusal, saying she was ungrateful to his kindness. She apologized and went to take a bath. He wondered why she was taking so long time for bathing, and went to find no one in the bathing chamber. Only thing he found was the comb that she had worn floating in the bathtub.

The second story was sad because the husband did love her. The third story was really sweet as well. Wonderful video! I did like the third story though since it had a good lesson at the end.
