He makes bad decisions. He shouldn't have gone to a team that just beat him, after they had 73 wins. But okay he did, got 2 rings. Then he leaves them, they wouldve been like the bulls and dominated for multiple championships, but he decided to let the fans talking get to him. He moves to start a new team with the diva kyrie, gets everything from the front office exactly the way he likes it, takes the L, curry has an amazing year, he now wants out the nets and guess to where? Thank you. That was a bad move by Brooklyn. Honestly if they can get the 2027 first and 2029 first from Lakers for Kyrie and use Russ this yr to jus survive it's better in the long run for Brooklyn. They have no draft capital n need to get what they can and get guys on short term deals to rebuild back better. Yes Russ isn't worth his price tag but the 2 first round picks will be good as the Lakers will be bad for yrs after LeBron leaves or retires. By bad I literally mean 20 to 30 wins max which gives Brooklyn better picks in those yrs.

Well honestly it's not even insecurity. It's objectively bad that he left that Thunder team to join the team that beat them, who they were also up 3-1 again. You cannot tell me that there's one NBA fan in the world who thinks KD's rings are not him taking the easy way out. He left to be THE guy on a team, and to which I respected him for. However, now that he demanded a trade TO THE TWO TOP SEEDS OF EACH CONFERENCE, it just further solidifies Chuck's argument that he's a bus rider.

Mind you lebron was leaving for LA so if KD would’ve stayed it would’ve been back to balance and no guarantee they win. Klay would’ve been hurt still and it would’ve been curry poole KD draymond & looney. While LA had PG & Kawhi and other LA had lebron & ad ! Plus rockets with Russ and harden so who knows ! Right right‼🤔💭. He was on our jock. But here's the Twizzle: KD wanted Steph’s team. Like automatic, w/I working for it. We run plays , if you've been watching us. Draymond wouldn't pass him the ball just bc he asked for it. So he began to play drag! The last one on the break. Then he’d be free to being able to shoot that 3ball and appear to be the hero. He did that in each finals from the same exact spot, which he was given the finals mvp twice. Even though Steph had 39 point game. 😳😳😳💯

Then he wanted to undermine Steph’s leadership systemically. He wanted the ball in the 4th quarter. That’s true boss time! Then he charged us by renewing his contract every year.🥺 Then there came the MVPs 😱❗️The one that hurt the most was when Steph had 39 points but we gave it to KD when he scored 24 points.He tried to get Draymond to pass him the ball , when we run specific plays. Well the nets letting kyrie play would be the best for the nets... but not letting kyrie play, is the most moral thing to do. Most people taking the vaccine is just likely a way better situation for the well being of people. The mandate almost certainly saved at least thousands of lives in the state of new york. There is an argument whether mandating is the way to go... but it certainly is not strongly against mandates. Given the state law is the way it is, nets obey the law... celebrities shouldn't be an exception. Plus the whole damn league was discrediting him for it 24/7 & was constantly pitting narratives of getting him out of there. Hell with him on that team there is Bucks Chip. There is no lakers chip. There is no parity in the league. The only person that would “back him” as the best in the world was people like Skip Bayless but not because he truly believed it but more so it’d be an indirect shot at LeBron. My issue with KD is that he’s a miserable and insecure person. He was miserable in OKC, miserable in the best situation EVER in Golden State, miserable in Brooklyn when he brought this upon himself, and he will be miserable the next place he goes too. He can’t handle criticism and stays clapping back at randoms on twitter, only making himself look worse. He’s a toxic person that contributes to the downfall of every organization he plays with, and is a terrible leader.

I think Durant's sojourn across the NBA provides about 2 or 3 object lessons for young people starting out in life, whatever field they go into. I'll just do one here: Beware of taking shortcuts to reach your goals. Otherwise, even if you get the thing you think you want, you may not have an internal feeling of a true and authentic connection to that prize you're holding in your hand. There appears to be a restlessness about Durant in his chosen profession. Why did he leave Golden State? Only Kevin Durant knows. But unfortunately for him, as far as his legacy goes: it sure seems to a lot of people that his joining the Warriors under the circumstances that he did so, was a shortcut. I think that he, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook all would have better off staying in OKC for 15 to 20 year stretches, letting the chips fall where they may.

@@Flyc2 Maybe: but those are the guys that we tend to respect the most. Also, in my opinion Durant, Westbrook, and Harden had a good thing going in OKC. Don't fix what ain't broken; and the OKC situation was not broken. They were, in fact, wildly successful! It's just that the western conference has been a lot tougher than the east for quite some time now. There is a lesson: Learn to know when you have a good thing, a great thing in fact: whether that's a job, a relationship, or what have you! Before you make that move, ask yourself: What exactly is it that you think you're going to find over there? We need to remember the cliche: the journey IS THE destination!

Him going to the warriors wasn’t a good decision because ultimately we saw a different side of KD because truly I believe the way he won those titles and the response from the masses bothered him. I think you if you ask KD he’d rather have a title where he was the undisputed number 1 and won a finals mvp like Curry in this years final or dirk and etc than his two with golden state.
@edouglasroche
@edouglasroche 2 жыл бұрын
I am a warriors fan so I am biased but think having two championships and two finals mvps can’t be worse for his career even if Stephen curry showed himself to be the more valuable player. Especially long term. Don’t think his decision particularly with his oversensitive personality should be teaming up with a drama creating kryie. Thinking he should have moved to a team with a better system basketball approach.

@@edouglasroche you know what? The KD situation has even made me realise - this is why the journey towards success is more important than “success” itself. KD knows he practically won the two easiest finals MVPs in NBA History. My two cents from a distant is the manner in which he won it - practically no adversity, even if he missed games the team were competent to compete with the best of the best and etc all culminated in the fact he won’t ever get the respect of Curry or Bron and etc just because the value, and I stress the value of his championships will always have “you joined a 73-9 team that beat you the year Before, won a finals without you and only worked because Steph allowed it to”…. I could go on, but you feel me?

KD made the right choice joining golden state. his mistake was leaving golden state. people might have been mad about him joining that warriors team that beat him the year before but they would have all eventually got over it and in 20 years no one would remember the circumstances of him joining golden state. he could have just hung around stacking chips and mvps, and there is a point where eventually you have so many accolades that no one can say shit; but instead he let kids on twitter dictate where his legacy would ultimately head because he’s emotionally soft. KD and steph could have won in ‘21 without klay, and won back to back again this season and he could be sitting pretty with 4 chips and possibly 4 finals mvps, and still go into the next few seasons potentially winning more. instead KD is going out sad because he cared too much what kids on twitter were saying.

So he wanted to play with his BFF. COOL! He even left with a S&T. BUT... all the decisions the Nets made after, were ultimately trash. Nobody can blame KD for leaving Golden State because he simply had to. No one was ever going to respect the rings he had won and would potentially win in the future. WHere the blame on him does count is that he didnt leave Golden State to some bumass or mediocre team, he left to go to a Brookly Nets team that had made the playoffs WITHOUT Kyrie, except now he had Kyrie, AND he had James Harden. He shouldve done way more than win one series in his entire tenure, Lebron always delivered a championship to whatever team he joined within 2 years and furthermore he did it with the same guy Durant has in Kyrie. The blame on KD is that he underperformed in Brooklyn not that he lleft Golden State because he NEEDED to prove that he could win without Curry, Klay and Draymond

Player empowerment with Bosh Wade and LeBron wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. The clear weakness of the superteam is being too top heavy. The GSW lucked out on under paying Steph early in his career to build the team around him. Now he's highest paid in the league. That cap increase that allowed them to sign KD also helped a lot too. Directly related to the popularity of the NBA increasing with their success no doubt. The way Brooklyn catered to unrealistic expectations from often injured often carried superstars teaming together was a pipe dream. Kyrie not getting vaccinated sank this whole thing ultimately which I'll give credit was the Titanic iceburg like stealthily unexpectedly done.

We criticized LeBron a lot and the only reason that we don't hate on the Miami championships this much is because Dirk beat them, and that showed that they were not invincible. The KD Warriors were simply too much. At some point, you have to care about legacy, loyalty, your team, your fans... In the end, you are earning millions of dollars because of all these things. LeBron at least won for the Cavs and brought them to the finals 3 more times, I value a lot more trying to get a championship to the team that drafted you. OMG I’ve been saying this forever. When he went to gsw, and said he doesn’t want to be a leader Steph and Draymond can do that, he’s just gonna hoop…that solidified it for me as far as putting him up there for best in the league at that time when the debate was him or Bron. I was already leaning Bron since KD was such a 1-way player at the time (he improved his effort on defense with gsw, but then again they also had dudes). But because of his personality I’ve always said he’s a number 1 guy skill set with a number 2 mentality. I also think that’s why it worked so well with Russ all those years, because he’s a number 2 skill set with a number 1 mentality. imo I think if he would’ve ran it back with Okc (assuming they handled business during the offseason) then they would’ve gotten over the hump.

In my opinion, the question on whether KD made the right decision depends entirely on what's important to KO. There were issues in OKC. The media talked a lot about why Russ was often taking over in the last 2 minutes, rather than setting up KD. Each year they fell out of the playoffs, in the media it was wondered if KD needed a true point guard and stated that Russ was more of a 2. I don't really remember, but it seemed to me then, in the last 2 minutes when it's time to win or lose, OKC turned the ball over a lot and fell short because of that more than anything else. KD always backed Russ and, I think, began to see the media as a team divider (read "an enemy." And who's blaming? Cut it out). Was the media correct? Would better coaching (or stronger influence?) have helped? When KD joined GS, I think he saw their brand of basketball, and I think he called it "beautiful... the way basketball should be played." When he left he just wanted to play hero ball again. He didn't want to play that way anymore. He didn't like Kerr asking him to trust team his team mates and pass the ball (not saying he didn't... I think his assists were the most of his career). And his defense was lauded as the best he had performed. KD is always great individually, but he became a champion as part of a team. Whos' mvp? (smh). Is the GM more important than the person who cleans the toilets? I don't know, but I'd ask the customers and not anybody else. GS execs at the parade, did not feed the ego (of any nba player, let alone one of the best ever!) and ow, ow, ow (self sabotage!!). Away from the court, after the game, I think the team all went back to their wives and kids, maybe? They were in a different stage of life. When KD went to Brooklyn, he was joining a friend. Someone on his same stage. They had the dream. It didn't pan out. I'm not going there. I think KD and Kyrie should play it out in Brooklyn. They have a good chance to be competitive and maybe win. A string of good health is all the need. Best wishes to you KD. You deserve. K
