Hot summer night. Smell of lilacs in the air. My dad owned a small am radio station when I was growing up. I'd sit in station, in the back, with the window open and play this by Barbra. I eventually stole it and gave it to my girl friend. Who left at the end of the summer. Broke my heart. I cry to this day listening to this incredible love song.... Smelling lilacs.....

I agree with you 100 percent! They don't make music like that anymore, and Ivonne had a beautiful voice and she is a beautiful lady, I first heard her voice when I saw the movie Saturday Night Fever. She had a song the movie, and I've seen her singing back in the days in different shows and nowdays on KZfaq! Personally I love the music from the seventies, eighties, nineties! That sound and bands and voices don't come around much nowdays except for a few singers and bands! God bless everybody and ciao! Frank.

A very beautiful song which is sung by the only one person who could have sung it so beautifully: Yvonne Elliman , the one and only Yvonne. No one else can sing this song as well as Yvonne. God Bless her for she is a marvelous singer. I don’t know if she is still singing today but whatever she is doing, I wish her nothing but the very best. I do love Barbra Lewis's version, the original version of this song to. Also, loved the song, Baby, Make Me Your Baby. Great stuff. Sad that Barbra Lewis is now a security guard and prefers to not to bother to sing any great music any longer. She was so great.
