As a proud owner of this pedal for 2.5 years I believe I've figured out how to tap into its energy. I used it on practically every song on my album "Tread Lightly" (by Eric James) that I dropped on streaming last year. Let me share with you my favorite ways to tame this beast and use it to its full potential.

1) The Music Box 1:15
Combine with an octave pedal and pitch it up a whole octave with blend around 25-50%. I'm using the EHX Ring Thing here so the settings probably won't look similar to yours.
2) Lofi Jazz Guitar/Old Warped Record 2:22
The key to this one is no reverb and to either pick lightly or use your thumb to pick. I switch between bridge and neck pickup on my strat depending on the vibe.
3) Mac DeMarco Chorus 4:25
I could make a whole vid about this one. Oh wait I have, check my channel.
4) Nirvana Chorus 4:43
Triangle wave for the waveform to imitate the small clone. Add overdrive, distortion or fuzz for heavier Nevermind sounds. ***Disclaimer, it does make the static noise way louder. Not too noticeable when you're playing though.
5) Psychedelic Surf/Punk Chorus 5:28
The overdrive settings should be reversed. I usually put gain all the way up and volume around half. But I also rely on my amp volume settings to achieve a more natural overdrive if I can be loud. The picture shown actually gives you more of a clean boost.
6) Jimi Hendrix Woodstock Vibe 6:00
Fuzz+Phaser+Junky (chorus). The phaser is just overkill it sounds pretty good anyway with a cranked fuzz. But if you set the phase 95 to 45 script mode at 50% you get an authentic univibe throb. Fuzz just crank all the way and go anywhere from low-mid to high-mid.
7) Boards of Canada D R O N E 7:00
By far my favorite and I don't care if I'm cheating by using the Walrus Slo. You can achieve a similar effect by cranking your reverb's time and mix parameters to 90-100%. Slow sin wave vibrato is the name of the game. Also use your thumb only to make it sound more synth/stringy. Add overdrive to really make the earth shatter with whale noises.
