I learn more from your mistakes - and followup fixes - than from many others know "all" the answers.

😂. There is a fortune cookie about this. Here is as close as I can get in 90 seconds of googling: We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success. We often discover what will do, by finding out what will not do; and probably he who never made a mistake never made a discovery. Samuel Smiles

Not sure of the version when this feature became available or what version you are using, but in both footprint and symbol editors in version 7.0.6, you can right click a library name and select Pin Library. That will keep it on the top of the list. With that you you can check off one item on your "things that drive me crazy" list - like hunting though giant tree views with similarly named nodes. EDIT: I wrote this just before you mentioned that you were using 5.0 for filming.

I think that you should have used drag for the board edge rather than move to prevent pulling it away from the other end

Is there a video describing the integration of this board with your fpga board? Sounds like a cool idea but wondering what the pair could do. I'm thinking the fpga does I/O. Turns out I have a similar project in progress that mates a cheap ez80f92 with an fpga to hopefully make a fast TRS-80. The fpga (will) emulate the video, ROM and keyboard and hopefully the floppy/hard drive (expansion interface). Not sure if your ICE40 fpga is big enough but the 12k ROM can be copied into your SRAM. Thought this would be quick and easy but taking a bit of time.

Eventually... yeah. Right now, I want to get it made & tested before some folks that have been asking about it all try to order boards. Topic-wise I have to jump around in order to get everything ready when it is needed. I expect to do VGA, keyboard, etc in the FPGA. I expect to copy the boot ROM out of the the FPGA's config flash chip into the SRAM to boot the CPU. I need to add the following links to the description of this video: FPGA board this plugs into: github.com/johnwinans/2057-ICE40HX4K-TQ144-breakout Playlist of videos about said FPGA board: kzfaq.info/sun/PL3by7evD3F52On-ws9pcdQuEL-rYbNNFB

If this is a prototype board, do you plan to build a "Z180-Retro!" in the future?

Yeah. This is a feasibility test of the 180 & FPGA to run peripherals. I am calling it a Z80-Nouveau 😂

It is directly to a PDF. My browser gripes about the domain or some such.... see if you have something blocking the ability to open a PDF.... or just google this: Fairchild AN-610 termination
