Even if Gunn went with a very comic accurate suit with his own modern spin, there would still be fans saying shit like the suit looks outdated and that Gunn is playing it too safe and that Gunn should've gotten more creative with the suit. I think it's a fun picture to introduce this Superman with. Based on Gunns comments I think the movie will focus on Supermans humanity more, so this fits well. Only thing I don't like is the colorful sky beam in the background

It’s a good look and costume for David, but it’s being shown to us in the worst way possible. The biggest criticism Henry’s Superman got, besides killing, is that he was too depressing and dark and this image is not doing enough to dispel that notion and reinforce the same bleak tone. We should see him flying into the blue sky on a sunny day with a smile on his face, NOT “Oh, Brainiac is attacking, guess I gotta do my job now.”

I feel like the red trunks is the past and no trunks is the present and future. The last two iterations of Superman didn’t have trunks and the suits were great. I just feel that we’re taking two steps back. At the end of the day, as long as the movie is good and his portrayal of the character is good, it’ll be fine.

I think James Gunn intentionally put the shot knowing how people would react and intern more coverage and people talking about it. He knew how people would react especially Snyder Fans because they are so predictable and vocal. That it benefits more than anyone else realizes. It’s honestly quite ingenious. If that was his intention and I’m sure it was.

Okay guys I understand that James Gunn made the suit kind of funny in a way but Superman suit was a symbol of Hope and the thing when the original creators that created Superman in 1938 when his first appearance debuted they gave us one of the most popular superhero in history that also gave birth to all of the superheroes that we know today look at the Superman toys from the past to nowadays the Todd McFarland are making today just look back at all of the TV shows the comic books the movies and also the the video games that was on him when I was a kid I loved Superman any suit that he tried on I think he looked badass in now I know everybody has their own decision what they think of Superman's suits I'm just supporting the guy because he's the most popular superhero that's in comic books today so I apologize that I upset anyone about Superman suit so thank you for listening to my message have a good night

Really guys you're going to complain about the Superman suit when we just got a little bit of a glimpse of it just because of James Gunn posted it that way we don't even know what the real suits going to look like until Comic-Con start and yet did you guys forget that the red trunks has been around 4 years for crying out loud when you go to Spirit at the Halloween store you'll see old Superman costumes with red trunks when you purchase a DC Superman costumes for your kids or adults as well and also did you guys forget another character weird read trunks and that was Marvel's gladiator from the marvel comics even gladiator from marvel was a copycat to the classic Superman and it Zack Snyder wants to complain about the red tights and yet Zack Snyder wants to complain about James Gunn Superman movie and the suit as well so Zack Snyder nice to go back and look up his history before he Lance up causing a problem for the Superman movie I'm sorry to say the Superman movies that Zack Snyder made wasn't really his fault for ruining the DC it was that corrupted company WBD and yet Zack Snyder have the nerve enough to complain about this movie when we haven't even seen her yet we don't even know what the suit might even look like until Comic-Con comes around so he needs to be careful how he talks about this movie I know he doesn't like the red trunks but it's not up to him it's up to the fans the likes or not so I apologize if Zack Snyder is offended but you know his movies are kind of dark and they were going a wrong direction I apologize he didn't even follow by the comic books that much and I know that wasn't really his fault for that that was wbds fault for ruining the DC franchise and WB is still killing their industry if you look at it so thank you for listening to my comments and I hope I did not offend anybody on this thank you and have a good day
